4 /5 Sendy Monarrez: Great park. It has separated playgrounds for toddlers and another one for bigger kids. The toddler playground is actually safe for my 2.8yo who is most of the times careful but she feels safe to play by herself here. Splash pad is great too. No restroom or changing area. But other than that, it’s great! It has shaded areas.

5 /5 Cynthia Bettencourt: This is one of our favorite play parks that is equipped with a splash pad. This playground has climbing towers along with slides for the bigger kids, and a fun play area for the Littles along with a few sets of swings, and a covered patio area with four benched tables.

5 /5 Man Traveling (KamikazeMan11): My son loved this park. The park has great slides, multilevel platforms, and crazy rock walk for daredevil kids. It has two play places one for toddlers and one for bigger kids. It also features a swing set near the big kids area. Grounds staff was there to clean up before school got out too. Need a second to breathe, let your kid run around here for a bit.

Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve - Plano

Simran Mehta: This is easily one of the best trails in North Dallas. The unpaved trail is about 8 miles long, not too difficult, with gentle elevation changes to keep it interesting. There are plenty of different paths to take, including shortcuts and alternate routes, so you can adjust your hike based on how much time or energy you have. The trail does get narrow in places, and some of the greenery spills onto the path, so it’s a good idea to keep an eye on your dog to avoid any scratches. You’ll also run into plenty of birds and bugs, so come prepared. IMPORTANT: there’s quite a bit of poison ivy along some of the trail. Be cautious, especially if you have kids or pets with you. There are some nice spots to climb down to Rowlett Creek, and a few areas you could rope swing if you’re in the mood for it. The trail is rarely crowded and has a good amount of shade, which makes it great for hotter days. The paved side of the trail wraps around a beautiful lake that’s perfect for fishing. In some areas, you can also ride horses, which is a unique bonus for this part of town. Overall, it’s a peaceful, scenic spot that has a little something for everyone.

Bob Woodruff Park - Plano

Bishwas Sharma: This park is not too big. Has ample parking spaces, a fun playground for kids, covered area for doing events. The trail around the lake is not too long so good for a quick stroll. There are ducks and other birds around to watch. Also has drinking water fountain and restroom. Even though it was sunny and hot, cool breeze was pleasant!

Heritage Farmstead Museum - Plano

D Know: They have great holiday events that the family loves. And they do NOT price gouge like other places. All the prices there are very fair and reasonable, kudos to the management and owner for this. Truly shows they care about everyone enjoying the event, drinks, snacks and toys sold there. And when it’s not a holiday, they have animals walking around you can visit and take pic with. A great place to visit.

Liberty Park - Plano

Reba King: Covered picnic area and well maintained playground make this a favorite area for children and their parents, but the absence of convenient restrooms is a strong negative for our family.
