1 /5 Bee Ryan: I was seen here as a cash (no insurance at the time) customer. I paid the full amount for a simple prescription refill appointment only. My prescription was already present in the BSW system from another provider.
The price was $250 for this appointment. I spoke to the physician for a total of 10 minutes at most. He only listened to my chest in two places and did not even complete a physical exam. At the pharmacy my prescription without insurance was $12 for a 90 day supply.
Several weeks later I received an “adjustment” of $54 more dollars. BSW states that I had a 38 min appointment, which is false. No critical assessments or in-depth discussions were made. This is fraud.
I’ve made several attempts to contact the clinic and Michael the clinic manager. No one is supporting the patient, calling me back, or providing a solution.
The billing department is equaling failing. I initiated an audit and they “determined the times were accurate.” Seriously!? How? No rationale was provided other than the billing was correct. And mind you this is a third party that only reviews what the clinic filed initially. There is no resemblance of an investigation or discussion with the clinic manager and provider. There was no burden of proof that could be shared with me either.
Please seek healthcare elsewhere. Additionally, if you have similar troubles you can hire a medical billing advocate via third party.
