1 /5 Katie (Cowan) Taylor: I absolutely avoid writing reviews of any kind, but I’m out of options at this point. We reluctantly took our 2016 Honda Pilot to this business to address a check engine light and three other lights that were on the dash. i say reluctantly because we have had some local friends comment about how much Anglen has been charging, but we needed the convenience of a local mechanic. The automobile was there for a little over two weeks and they said that made some repairs but we needed to drive it for the weekend to see if the lights came back on but we needed to pay them $2400 for whatever they did to the car. We drove it less than 100 miles and all of the check engine light and other lights came back on. They told us to bring the car back and they would try to fix it. We dropped it off and the car was there for another week. we picked it up…all the lights came back on. we brought it back…another week. (i’m not upset with the time it took btw) This time (around week four of dealing with the issue) they let us know the check engine light was due to the catalytic converter and needed to be replaced for $1300. i told my husband we would just pick up the car and deal with it later at another business, i did not want to give them any more money. We picked up the car and two days later alllll the other problem lights came back on, plus some new ones. I’m just confused as to what we paid $2400 for….and discouraged that the problem that supposedly cost us $2400 seems to be completely the same…even worse. i will say that they have never been rude and have been professional when dealing with us face to face…but i’m loosing sleep over the fact we have paid that $2400 plus $600 for a rental car while waiting on this auto to be fixed…the car is exactly the same as where we started. i’m not sure what it has all been for?

5 /5 Jeff Morgan: I had my car towed to Anglen Automotive after I had my oil changed at another establishment in Waxahachie and my car stopped running. When it arrived, the owner and 2 other employees immediately started diagnosing and working on my car. They worked for almost an hour, found the problem, and then got my car running. There commitment to excellence and customer service was amazing. It is so important to be able to trust your mechanic and now I found a facility that is true. They took a terrible situation, corrected it, and I found a shop in Ellis County for all my future automotive needs.

2 /5 Bruce: I recently took my vehicle in so they could fix an issue with the transmission. while the vehicle was in their care, and being left outside unprotected, there was a storm ….. causing hail damage to the vehicle. when I arrived to pick up the vehicle I was told that “customers whose vehicles were damaged are SOL because our insurance isn’t covering an act of nature” if you’re in business and assume custody of someone’s property then you’re responsible if damage happens while you have the car. so what started out as a simple repair has turned into over $2,500 in hail damage this company should own the responsibility and fix the hail dings

2 /5 Kristy Edmondson: Quoted a price, we brought our own parts and still paid more than the quoted price. Kind of disappointed in that kind of service. Husband said the guy helping was pretty rude. Previously had work done on another vehicle we had better service but still need to take it back to get dashlight fixed.

1 /5 adam green: If you want to take your vehicle to a shop that DOES NOT stand behind their work, this is the place for you. My vehicle started having problems about 9 months ago, Im new to the area and this place was suggested to me. $1,600 later they claimed to have fixed the issue. 2 months later the same issue reoccurred. I took it back to them and they claimed to have fixed the issue again and only charged me for the labor ($400), fortunately for me the part was still under warranty. 2 weeks later, the same issue happened again. I took it back and they claimed it was a defective part. They claimed to have fixed it (again) so i sent my son to pick it up and on the way back from the shop the issue happened again plus the vehicle got hot so we took it back. A couple weeks later they called and said they fixed both issues(another $250). My daughter lives in Waxahachie so I called her to pick it up and you guessed it, the original electrical issue happened again and it got hot on her way home from the shop, stranding my daughter on the side of the road. So, I took it back (for the 5th time if youre keeping track) I waited three weeks for a call, finally I called them to get an update on my vehicle. They claimed to have been trying to get in contact with me (no missed calls on my end and no voicemails) Now they are saying they will no longer warranty the part and that Ill need a new engine. I was told Aaron would call me back to discuss it and I bet you can guess that I never received that call back. Never once have they accepted any responsibility or offered to give me my money back or any other solution. So here I sit, down nearly $2,300 and the vehicle is worse off now than when I first took it there. The only positive I can think of at this point is that they did not charge me this last time for looking at it. Communication is horrible, they apparently do not test drive the vehicle when they "fix" it and are quick to pass blame elsewhere.
