Clarks Auto Service - Alvarado Trace: Don’t buy a used vehicle from this shop. That storefront will fool you into believing what they tell you about the terrible vehicles they are selling.
I bought a truck from the owners son, David.
He said the trucks engine had 3000 miles since the rebuild, I drove it less than 400 miles before leaving me stranded on the side of the road. I reached out to him and he offered no help. Not even a tow.
Fast forward a month later, I swapped that engine into another truck, well within 5 minutes of running that “rebuilt” engine in the new truck, the engine is knocking and there is no oil making it to the heads.
I drain the oil, mind you it’s brand new and has 5 minutes run time, but it’s black and sparkling.
I know won’t get my money back, but my goal is to make sure people know what they buy when dealing with this joke of a shop.
The owner replied to this review. He’s lying. They DO sell vehicles at this shitty shop.
