To start off, I have naturally fine hair (lots of it) and I have been mildly anemic (this is important to know). Last year, March 2024 I decided I wanted to bleach my hair. I had virgin hair up until that point. Now, before bleaching, I would shed a normal amount of hair, I was never worried (yes, I was already aware of being mildly anemic). After I bleached my hair, my hair has been shedding like CRAZY. Granted, I knew my hair would take on some damage with the whole bleaching process; however, I did not realize to the extent. I hoped that after a few weeks the shedding would calm down, but nope. I bleached it again in August 2024 (dumb of me to do so) however, the bleach was left on longer than the first time (March 2024). My hair has been an absolute disaster, I have not done anything to my hair in the past 5 months except get a trim and try my best to take care of it. My diet consists of healthy foods, and aside from mild anemia, I had/have no other vitamin/mineral deficiencies.
I’m unsure if my fine hair was over processed and permanently damaged, but it is very upsetting and depressing for my hair to be coming out in clumps. The employees are absolute sweethearts and I know they had other clients to attend too, but I believe they left the bleach on for too long and now my hair is damaged.

Great hair cuts. Short wait time . Family atmosphere. 5 years or more, its a nice local Business to support. I do tip my hair isnt easy to work with. They never keep me waiting long , cus I am disabled and I hat to wait. The location is close and they dont overcharge.

Xotic Hair Studio And Spa - McAllen Angelica Lopez: I had taken my daughter here as a walk in for a cut and she was satisfied with it. I returned another day for a cut myself and I walked in and there was no one waiting and no one getting serviced. Mind you they take walk ins. The lady who was inside said she couldn’t cut my hair because she was waiting on an appointment who happened to be running late. She didn’t even give me the option to want to wait to see if her appointment showed up or not. I was just asking for a simple haircut of my ends nothing fancy. Will not be returning here.

I have been going to Martha for over 5 years because she is experienced and educated. She will do an honest in person consultation with you and expertly work with you to meet your needs.
Mane On Main By Vanity Lash - McAllen Kristi Holden: I booked and confirmed my appointment online super simple and easy. The moment I walked in I was greeted very professionally, and I felt very welcomed. A few minutes later I met my hairstylist Anjo! I explained to him, exactly the type of hairstyle that I want and the layers, and the length that I was looking for. ( I did stress to him My anxiety levels from prior haircut, salons that never gave me the style that I had asked for.) he listened to detail and I felt very comfortable. His hands are so smooth, and he flips your hair and cuts your hair like a professional. When I saw the end results. I was in shock by exactly what I pictured in my head. I was actually gonna walk out of the Salon, with my hairstyle !
He brought tears to my eyes, because I was overwhelmed With my haircut. I’m beyond happy and thank you so much for letting me walk out with an amazing haircut. It’s a great Salon and I highly recommend. And I will definitely be back. Oh, and the vibe. Let me mention the vibe. Everyone there has a smile. And you can see and tell that they enjoy and love what they do!
