MCShing I would NOT recommend using this company! Almost $1,000.00 and the mechanic could not even figure out the problem, used a screw driver to remove the exhaust hose and just left it like that, couldnt even get our RV to stay running, used up 2 cans of starting fluid, yeah he got it started for a quick moment but it would not stay running, the hooked up his little computer and just said "It needs to go to the shop". We called another RV company who was not even there 10 min and was able to get our RV running smoothly again, he infact was the one that noticed the previous so called mechanic left the exhaust hose undone and was able to see the indention of the screwdriver he used. This company just takes their time and expects you to pay big time. NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY !

Skylar Thibodeaux Dont call this shop. They are a complete joke. Nothing gets done. You will be hostage to their neglegence. Forced to pay for false diagnosis and their lack of mechanical knowledge....Ethics they lack have cost me considerably...I have a 1999 Bluebird bus. I wanted a simple oil change, break job and AC check. 12 months later, I still dont have a running bus. After failing to get a simple routine maintenance done in a timely manner. They have held me hostage with excuses....my batteries cost $800. I dont have a single battery, both taken, never returned or reinstalled... My bus is dead in my driveway. 3 months since I paid $1800 in November 2024.. I had to pick up my batteries from the shop..... multiple calls, no return calls, let alone service. Keep in mind this is after paying $1800. Dont trust these people, they provide headaches, not service. They manipulate and hold you hostage to their lack of work ethic. Horrible service. Save yourself $$$ call someone else. Its absolutely horrible service.

Dave Gottshall We had our stater go bad on 10w at a rest stop about an hour west of Kerrville. We are on our retirement trip across our country. Having broke down and not knowing what to do A1 was a pleasure to do business with. Sincere Thanks A1. I HIGHLY recommend A1. They had us back on the road before lunch. Excellent service, and at a reasonable cost. Don’t hesitate to use this well established business. Thank you again!

Andrew Stout We brought our vehicle in due to the transmission going out and were greeted with John and Lonnie both very knowledgeable and patient with all the questions we had. They also worked very fast knowing we had a large family and this being the primary mode of transportation. John even took it for a drive with me and explained the inner working of the issues we were having so we can recognize certain things if they occur in the future. I am very grateful for the A1 and the team for getting our family back on the road.

Jacob Cunningham Andrew does absolutely great work and he made me feel like I had someone in my corner the whole time. My truck had been damaged by hail And my insurance company had given me the runaround, when I finally got my truck to Andrew he made sure that everything got handled. Great experience!

Rachel Hynek I would recommend this shop to anyone. They did a phenomenal job on my car. The communication the entire time was fast and efficient. They’re very honest, nice and went over my options. Definitely the best experience I’ve had so far with vehicle repairs.

Nancy Swanson My dealer said I needed nearly $4000 of service work and repairs on my vehicle. I knew that at least some of their recommendations weren’t true, as I had literally just had some of that same work done by a local shop. Central automotive was recommended to me by Moss Motors, as they don’t work on foreign cars. The ethical staff at Central Automotive diagnosed the “problem” and said that these repairs were not necessary. I am grateful for their integrity.

J Rincon This place is amazing. From start to finish. The shop manager is great very personable and knowledgeable about any question you have. Great customer service. Then there is Tim that guy is a top notch . He did a quick assessment on my front brakes told me what I needed and didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need and went to work on them brakes. I think I was there for maybe an hour and I was on my way. Ill be back for sure. Thank yall for a great experience!

The staff was friendly, explained everything clearly, and didn’t try to upsell me on stuff I didn’t need. If you’re looking for fast, reliable service without the hassle, this is the place. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Brad Byers Cameron absolutely took care of me, and on short notice! I was in the area but leaving the next day and he fit me in on short notice, and also gave me a ton of great advise on what I should do to my truck (upgrades). Not only do I highly recommend him and his shop, but I will most likely be making the 5 hour trip back down here when I go to have my truck lifted and some other stuff done to it!

Robert Pilcher Cameron had amazing customer service , great knowledge about what needed to be done. Great prices and shop ratesWilling to work with customers needs and wants. Did new shocks×4,oil change,air filter, glow plug hardware and harness, 72point inspection, and even put a new battery in my alarm fab. Highly recommended and have found a new shop for repairs

Chris Morrow I’m not one to typically leave reviews, but I had to for this place. My check engine light came on, and that same day, I called around but nobody could get me in until the end of the week. Not only were they able to fit me in within a few hours, but their diagnostic fee was far lower than the four other places I had called. When I dropped my car off, everyone was very helpful and professional. After diagnosing the issue, I did some research online to better understand the problem, and the price they quoted me was significantly less than what I saw others were charging for the same repair. When I got my car back, it honestly felt like driving a different car. This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a mechanic. I’ll definitely be using them again if needed.

Damaso Fuentes Had vehicle problems while driving through Kerrville, I was towed to this shop after hours. Next day my vehicle was inspected, shop owner and lead mechanic, found nothing wrong in all his scans and tests. I was not charged since "..technically didnt have to do anything". This place seems like a very honest, safe and trustworthy place to service your vehicle. Hope I dont need them again but if I do, I wouldnt think twice about where to take my vehicles.

David Hurst Took two vehicles to Royals. The first vehicle needed an exhaust system rebuilt. The work performed was of high quality and the price quoted was the price charged. The second vehicle needed a coolant system flush and a valve cover gasket replaced. I was quoted 600 dollars. During the process, Royal called and said l need a mass O2 sensor and a themostat. Both parts cost less than 100 dollars. I am thinking the total bill tax, parts and labor would be around 900 to 1000 dollars. Got bill for $1348, Which he reduced to $1284. Work was performed well, but when you give your word on a price, you should honor it. Several times in my work career l have lost money on a job, but l never lost my word. That said, l would still take a vehicle to him for work, just would have a firm price quoted and in writing before work.

Anthony Davis They are so busy but they must be good. It took them a while to exchange my transmission with a rebuilt one bought in line, but it was worth it! Had them change my valve cover gaskets too and now its like I got A NEW TRUCK! No more smoking oil and it shifts like a new truck! Highly recommended!

James Rickel I just picked up my 49 ford custom. Jeremy installed new coils, shocks, and completely rebuilt the front suspension. Hard to believe it’s the same car I dropped off. It drives and rides amazingly. These guys know what they are doing. Now it’s my go to place for front end and alignment work.

Heidi Curtis helped us on a Sunday by driving to Fredericksburg to replace a water hose and broken clip. He did a great job and had just the tools needed for the job. It allowed us to make it to our destination that night instead of waiting to get it fixed on Monday. Thank you!

Samantha Chandler I brought my 2006 Dodge/Mercedes Sprinter in due to smoke coming from my engine.. They were extremely helpful and fixed my bad fuel injector with in 2 days. They also gave me a ride to my campground since Lyft was not available in the area, I am so grateful I found this shop. Roger Cagle Took F250 to Jalisco to check out issue with front end. Came back with extensive repair work and $3500 estimate. Said thanks, no thanks. Charged $150 to get truck back for “diagnostic fee”. Fine if you say so up front but they didn’t. Another garage replaced shock. All is fine. In all fairness, wish to update my review. I spoke to Mr Nunez, who apparently was not the person I interacted with at the shop. He explained their procedure for identifying repairs they thought the vehicle needed. He even offered to put the vehicle up on the lift and review their recommendations with me. Although I declined and am happy with the repairs already made; I think that was fair and credible. He also refunded my diagnostic fee whilst explaining that they do charge such a fee, but acknowledged that should have been disclosed up front. Again, imminently fair and reasonable. I would not hesitate to give them another go in the future.

Juli Ragsdale I went in for a quick oil change. I found the service to be very fast and professional. I love that you can just stay in your car as they work from the pits below. The crew was so professional and proficient I had them change my wiper blades too. They were completely familiar and well stocked for my bmw. I highly recommend.
