River Smiths Chicken & Catfish - Lubbock (TX)

5 /5 Matthew garcia: Visited River Smith for the first time, and had a good experience. The service was amazing, the restaurant was clean and my order was as ordered (no issues). I ordered the chicken fried steak, and it was good. My husband ordered fish and he said it was great. My son said the burger was very good. This is definitely a place to stop and try when in the area.

5 /5 Donald Peck: This restaurant was recommended by local residents and close to our motel. As the name of the restaurant says, they specialize in fish and chicken. I had a simple dark meat chicken dinner with fries and a biscuit with gravy. My wife ordered the white fish basket and they were served hot with some complimentary homemade onion rings. The meals were great that evening there was live music that we stayed a listened to. The music was basically a man with a guitar doing karaoke, but was very good.

5 /5 Bruno Smith: Reminds me of a small town Mom and Pop eatery but dont be fooled Place handles high volume and catering. The chicken fried steak was probably the best Ive ever had and I hear their catfish is second to none. The ladies behind the counter were friendly, helpful, and make sure their experience there whats the best you can have and if not they wanted to fix it right then. Big and spacious dining area and there were different sections so it would probably be really great for large gathering or a private party.

5 /5 Cindy: My order was messed up but I was ready to purchase another meal bc I honestly couldn’t remember if I said the wrong thing and the girls up from did everything to make it right! I appreciate them being so helpful and courteous! Thank you so much to Avery, Ellie, and Keke for their customer service and doing the most to be helpful. I am very thankful. They kept asking if I wanted a refund and I said no bc I love the food there! Thank you again Avery, Ellie and Keke!!!

4 /5 Christina McGinnis: The dining experience is always great! The staff are always quick and hospitable when I visit. Sheila always a smile and ready to greet people. Although I havent experienced the salad bar as maybe its not operational. Either way, I always enjoy my dining experience.
