5 /5 Leah Claire: What an amazing Indian food takeout spot in west Texas!!! We were contemplating driving from San Angelo up to Abilene to get some Indian food tonight, and I noticed that there was a closer spot that we had never been/heard of. We jumped in the car and headed over (super easy, 30 min drive)! This place is easy to miss if you’re not careful, as it is nestled inside of a gas station/convenience store. The cashier was so sweet and gave us a free “sample” of rice kheer (it was a super generous-sized cup!)! It was DELICIOUS! We waited maybe around 15-20 mins for our food, but we were told that they take pre-orders so it can be ready upon arrival! The inside of the store has a table with about 8 chairs to stay and eat, but we had two wiggly kids and decided it was best to take it back home. We order samosas, garlic naan, palak paneer, buttered chicken, and dal makhani. The samosas were truly cooked to perfection and were some of the best we’ve ever had. They were not soggy/greasy, and they were the opposite of bland— super tasty! As for the main dishes, the palak paneer was our favorite out of the three, but the other two were very good as well! The portions are a decent size for the price and it was definitely worth the short drive out of town. We can’t wait to go back! Thank you so much!!
