5 /5 Mark Ruiz: Great experience here. Service was top notch, food was overall pretty great. There were only 2 things I didnt 100% enjoy:
1- my chorizo tamale, which was a bit dry and not very flavorful (but the masa was excellent and all the other flavors we tried we great)
2- there is not a ton of seating inside, and the tables were a little small for our group of 6 (they are long enough to seat 6, but rather narrow). Theyre also pretty close together. Wasnt a problem while we were there cause it was fairly empty, but I could see it being trouble during busier times or with a large group.
We tried beef, pork, bean & cheese, and rajas & cheese, which were all tasty. The chips & verde salsa served as an appetizer were SO good. I also thoroughly enjoyed the charro beans, I ate my whole bowl and Im not really even a big fan of beans. The rice was solid also, a good accompaniment, but not the star of the show. The 2 bites of sopes I snagged off my friends plate were very satisfying, and Im told the flounder tacos and gorditas were also great.
Will definitely be coming back here for more tamales and lunch specials!
