5 /5 No Name: 5 Stars! El Rey #2 Wont Disappoint! El Rey #2 in Henly, TX is a hidden gem! We stopped in after a long road trip from Austin and were blown away. This family-owned Mexican restaurant had everything we needed for a perfect pitstop. The food was incredible. Absolutely delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine. They even had a great selection of gluten-free options that were amazing. Huge shoutout for catering to dietary restrictions! The atmosphere was warm and inviting. It felt like a comfortable place to relax and unwind. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, our server was so kind and helpful. Bonus points for the fun extras! El Rey #2 has pool tables and a full bar, which would be perfect for a night out with friends. Overall, El Rey #2 is a fantastic restaurant. Delicious food, great service, a comfortable atmosphere, and fun extras make it a perfect place to stop on a road trip or for a night out. We will definitely be back!

5 /5 Dustin Sultenfuss: The Al pastor tacos are worth driving out to try, handmade corn or flour tortillas with big portions. The salsa Verde was rich with a good amount amount heat. 3.50 a taco is hard to beat.

1 /5 Gregory Alderson: My family and I were at a baseball tournament nearby, and stopped by for some food to go. My wife pumped gas outside while I stepped inside and asked to make a to go order. The person who greeted me was so rude and acted so annoyed by me popping in to make an order, that I just left. He was annoyed that I needed a menu, tapped his fingers impatiently. I was shocked at what a jerk the guy was - completely unprovoked. I was warm and friendly until the 6th rude moment, then I returned the rudeness with two words, and left. I worked in food service for years and never would have treated a guest like that. I dont need to be worshipped - all I want is decency and civility and a little patience. This man gave none. I hope he was just having a hard day and is normally cool to people. Im upset that it landed on me, if so.

5 /5 Myron Marshall: Traveling from Burnet back to Kyle on 290 I was craving Mexican food. I was going to wait until I got back to Kyle to eat a late lunch but remembered there was a place in Henly. So glad I stopped. The food was amazing. The service top notch. I will definitely be eating there whenever I’m in the area.
