5 /5 Patrick Caballero: TEXAS FRIENDLY SPOKEN HERE. This is a fine BBQ restaurant where the food is expertly prepared and is reasonably priced. We got a 1/2 chicken, chopped BBQ sandwich, a side of beans to share, 6 devil eggs halves, and two drinks for about $45. It was enough food to take some back to our camp site. The owners prominently display the names of the Austin Colonysoriginall 300 families. Among them is the man for whom our hometown of Burnet was named. (He was the first provisional president of Texas during the revolution. No doubt he would have been put to Santa Annas sword if the revolt had failed.) The place also has an event hall/dance floor that features live music a couple times a month.
