5 /5 Marissa Resendez: Absolutely dynamite! This place is a must-stop if youre heading to or passing through Fredericksburg. The owner is incredibly friendly, service is quick, and the breakfast tacos are some of the best I’ve had in a long time—way better than anything in Austin. The tacos are huge, served on homemade tortillas, and the fresh red and green salsa is amazing. Don’t hesitate—stop by, you won’t regret it!

3 /5 AS: Got the lunch plate. Picadillo usually has carrots and tomatoes w/ bay leaf flavor. Sometimes cheese. This had none of that. Beans were cold. Corn tortillas greasy. Good part - they got my order right with no raw onions, gave lots of limes. Two lunch plates to go totaled $28. A restaurant would at least give chips and salsa. We were surprised. Not the worst ever by far and the woman was very nice. I just think it was expensive for the food. For a shack right on the side of the hwy, I didnt expect the cost. But i refuse to go to a taco bell in my home state of Texas.

5 /5 Zanel Pizarro: Our Nature School, Nature and STEM Kids College came all the way from San Antonio to a trip to the Exotic Zoo down the road and found Mayra’s on a search. They accommodated our large group and served us amazing mini taco plates, toppings and salsas in no time for all the Parents, Students and Staff!! They were very attentive and friendly, excellent customer service! Everything was clean and the food was super delicious. Prizes were super good! Clean restrooms too! Come and stop here they are a gem!

5 /5 Carissa Pitalo: I lived in the area for a couple of years and Mayras was at least a twice-weekly stop at the time. Mayra is incredibly kind and serves incredible food. She is knowledgeable about and offers vegan options, and welcomes call ahead orders. Dont skip an agua fresca while youre here!
