El Charro Restaurant - Sulphur Springs (TX)

4 /5 Babu George: As some others mentioned, you either love or hate this place. However, I may be an exception: dont know whether to love or hate. The restaurant employees were nice and kind, they checked on you just enough. The food tasted "authentic". That said, the choices were very limited. Especially if youre looking for meat items, you dont find any (unless you count ground meat as meat). Also, you dont find any alcoholic beverages there - not even beer. The ambience was simple, a bit rustic, reminiscent of countryside. I love it but I also hate it. Giving benefit of doubt, 4 stars.

5 /5 Any American: One of my favorite places! Been eating the same entree (soft cheese enchiladas) for over 50 years. The same family still prepares the food. Sadly, El Charro is now open only on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and until 9 p.m. on Saturdays.

4 /5 Julie Benoist: With this restaurant you’ll either love it or you’ll hate it. For my family and I, we love it! We have been regulars here for years. I get the soft cheese dinner every time. There’s really no cheese enchilada out there like it. If you’re going for the first time definitely try out their soft cheese dinner. Love this place and will continue to eat here for as long as they’re still up and running
