5 /5 Shai Idelman: Found this place on our way back from a long camping trip in New Mexico. Called them that morning and were lucky enough to snatch up the last table for the night.
1) make sure to follow directions on the website. The spot does show up on Google Maps, but using the GPS may take you to the wrong spot. Use the directions (coming in from 152 and turning south on their driveway)
2) cash or check only. Come prepared.
3) if you enjoy wine with your steak- bring it with you. The atmosphere and the food are definitely pairing well with a good red
4) the food- the steak is cooked to PERFECTION. The baked potatoe is huge. You also get a sausage and dessert. If you let them know when making the reservation, you might be able to get ribs or salmon or pork as well (maybe also shrimp, cant remember now). Do yourself a favor, get the steak, and come hungry.
This place really does have a cozy feel that is authentic and does not feel like its trying to be something it isnt. The smell of a wood burning grill greets you as you walk in, the steaks come out perfect, not a second too long or not enough on the grill. The owner and everyone else are pleasant and will lake your evening memorable. This place is worth the drive! 5/5 and will definitely look to come back.
