Because variety is my love language I was won over as soon as I found my item on the menu - the combination platter! The chicken strips and the steak finger strips were both good. I thought the gravy, corn, and potatoes were a little bland (and none of them were piping hot). But the star of the show was the okra. Cut in long strips rather than small pieces, battered with tons of flavor, and perfectly fried. And if there were a runner up, it would be the sauces - all of them that I tried were great. If only Dirks were around in my college days! But I’ll be back on the next L-town visit.
