5 /5 Ashley Rangel: Last night’s experience was amazing! The food was delicious, but what really made the night stand out was our server, Chloe. She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we sat down. She checked in at all the right times, had such a positive attitude, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great experience. Chloe’s kindness and professionalism truly elevated our meal. We’ll definitely be coming back—and hoping to be seated in her section again!

3 /5 sydney bounds: I love cotton patch and have been going for years. I decided to place a Togo order as I’m recovering from surgery. I noticed he potato soup was back and was thrilled! However I paid 8.99 for maybe 2 ox of soup. Everything else was great but extremely disappointed in the potato soup. Got maybe 3 bites.

He noticed when our drinks were getting low and made sure we had everything we needed without us even asking. Super friendly and made the whole meal really enjoyable! The peach Gobbler was delicious!! Definitely will be coming back

5 /5 Kim: VERY PLEASED! Although I ordered my meal and picked it up the atmosphere was family friendly and welcoming. I was greeted immediately upon entering with a smiling and friendly young lady that showed me where to go to pick up my order. Upon reaching the back I was greeted again by another smiling and friendly young lady and the couple other employees that were around greeted me as well. My food was warm and ready when I got there. I ordered the steak fries no gravy, fried okra, mac n cheese and the pumpkin crunch. The portions were good size. There were 6 decent sized steak fries. My meal came with warm dinner rolls too. I live about 10 min away so my meal was warm when I got home but I nuked it a bit just to get it hot again. My meal was wonderful! It reminded me of being little again and eating dinner at either of my grand mothers and my momma’s home cooking. I will definitely be back again! And when we have out of state family visit we will take them as well! You can’t go wrong here!

It’s rare to find a place where the service feels this natural and kind. It’s also a great spot for families—very kid‑friendly, relaxed, and easygoing. The atmosphere is cozy enough for a quiet meal but lively enough that kids feel comfortable too. Overall, Cotton Patch Cafe is absolutely a recommended spot in McKinney. With its amazing food, homely vibe, and genuinely polite staff, I can already see myself becoming a regular here.
