1 /5 Jeanette Salcido-Hayes: If you want honorable lotto scratch offs… do not buy them here! I bought $100 worth of #52 lotto tickets. I put them in my purse while I waited for our food. Drove home to Teague and then finally today I had time to scratch. What do you know, I won what I thought was $20 and used my Lottery app to see if it was accurate. My app said the ticket was previously paid. Meaning they gave me a ticket someone ONLY scratched the bottom and got the winnings. I also noticed it because in succession my tickets on the back started at 13, 14, 15 etc and then I had a random 4. I didn’t catch it until this morning. I went it tried to explain it to the guy who sold me them. He acted brand new. I don’t understand how u would be turning in a “paid” ticket since once you win they take the ticket. After he fumbled with his camera for 20 minutes. I was able to see 2 other disturbances in the short time. A man who blew up about a discount on a speaker and a man who claimed the workers called him weird and gay. Listen, after the sale of this spot by the original owners. This place has gone to shit. The service, the trustworthiness and the great loyalty to its consumers. I will never go back to this place and I encourage you to find another place to spend your hard earned money.

The ambiance is… well it’s a gas station so set your expectations as such. The menu at Charlie’s is a delightful ode to classic American cuisine, with a special spotlight on their mouthwatering burgers. Each burger is a masterpiece of flavors, featuring juicy, perfectly cooked patties, fresh, crisp lettuce. The buns deserve a mention too—soft, yet sturdy enough to hold up to the generous fillings. The fries are a must-try as well—golden, crispy, and seasoned to perfection. Service at Charlie’s is nothing short of excellent. In conclusion, Charlie’s Burgers and Grill is more than just a restaurant it’s a gas station too. But it’s also the kind of place you’ll want to return to for the delicious burgers. If you find yourself in Mexia, don’t be scared and miss out on this local treasure!

5 /5 Laker Lowe: It was great! Best burger place in the 806 by far! Great service, great food, great people. My waiter was very fast and respectful! I got a patty melt, it was perfectly cooked and seasoned! Fries were immaculate, great seasoned and cooked! I would definitely recommend!

1 /5 hannah samples: Overall disappointed in our order tonight. Called our order in and got home the nachos had no cheese on them. Got 2 burger baskets with maybe 5 fries in each. And one was supposed to have no pickles and had them on it. And the other was supposed to have GRILLED onions and none on it. And got an additional side of fries and had very minimal fries. Called and let them know and they said the only thing that would do is remake the nachos. Very disappointed!! Used to be a great restaurant had been sold to many times and staff change on a regular!!

5 /5 Shelley Smith: This is a must try. But remember it is a gas station not fine dining. Very friendly service and want to make you happy. I had the sourdough burger. It was hot and juicy with great taste. My husband had a wonderful bacon cheeseburger and chili cheese steak fries. His burger was delicious and the chili cheese fries were hot and loaded. We will be back!
