5 /5 Cheryl Hill: I had a wonderful solo dining experience at Carve, made even better by Tashia. I started with the steak bruschetta, which was outstanding — the horseradish sauce and balsamic glaze were a perfect balance, finished with a fresh garnish (possibly mint) that pulled everything together beautifully. It was exactly my style, and Tashia’s recommendation was spot on.
I also ordered the New Year’s special of black-eyed peas and cabbage. I’m not sure how the cabbage was seasoned, but it was surprisingly delicious — unique, comforting, and fabulous.
I don’t usually splurge on dessert, but I’m so glad I did. The seasonal pumpkin cheesecake was light, fluffy, and perfectly decadent, topped with a caramel drizzle and candied nuts. Once again, Tashia guided me perfectly.
Dining alone can be hit or miss, but this was a genuinely enjoyable experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be back — and I hope Tashia is working.
