John Hupperts While our experience creating a custom ring was good and we enjoyed working with them, and the ring initially looked great, the diamond came loose within a few days after proposal. We mailed it back to Franzetti for it to be fixed, and they pinched the bezel. When we opened the mail, we were dismayed to see the bezel mangled a bit, clearly visible to the naked eye. Then, it came loose again within 9 days. My fiancée works on a laptop at home and isn’t rough on her hands. Even so, we had explained that it should be an everyday ring, and if we had known (or been informed) the ring would be so fragile, we wouldn’t have gone this way. She hasn’t been able to wear her ring and we have to keep spending our spare time looking for a solution with other jewelers. I do appreciate that Franzetti did offer to remake the ring, but we opted to have a local jeweler bolster the bezel. The diamond is still minutely loose even after this other jeweler’s work and they say that’s simply a product of the design, but they assure us that the bezel will hold strong. So, maybe it was fine in the first place. Oh well

Isabel Gloria Lana was the best! My finance brought me to the store for Mother’s Day to pick out an engagement ring. We are young and not the richest people in the world so the first ring I liked was too pricey but Lana was so determined to get me walking out with a new ring. Sherry Gaible James Avery never has a sale but they did offer a good deal on their charms. So, I gathered the three adopted granddaughters and had a shopping spree this hot afternoon. I have been coming up empty for their birthday and Christmas gifts the past year or so. Starting a charm bracelet or add on necklace is a great way for them to design their own gift. This JA store seems brand new, but the very personable and helpful store manager, Karen, said the store is actually five years old. Could have fooled me. We had Karen and her assistant Morgan"s full attention for a good part of the afternoon. The brilliantly lit glass cases, with sample charms, were so enticing, but the girls (11, 9 and 7) made wonderful decisions on their own. I hope this is a tradition that we can keep for years to come.
