Prasanna J Abdul deserves all star ratings. He is such a nice person, honest, humble and really down to earth. I was traveling from Colorado Springs to Dallas and my car started giving really bad odor when I came near Amarillo. It was unbearable and it looked like some problem with AC. I found Abdul on google. I went to him. He checked everything with my car. He did not find anything wrong. He changed few settings on my air condition and thats it. Everything was fine. He must have spent quite some time checking my car and changing the settings. I then asked him for his charges, he didnt take a single penny. I could not believe that such mechanics exist. I always had bad experience in the past when mechanics will always try to oversell and here Abdul is brutally honest. I highly recommend him.

Pam Taylor As I was driving down the 40 I suddenly lost all power in my F350. I was able to get to Tyler on a Saturday afternoon, and not only did he come in to work, but he also dropped me off at a hotel while he worked on my truck Saturday evening and Sunday morning. He was able to diagnose my issue and get me back on the road. He’s quick, he’s very professional and proficient. I would 100% recommend him to anyone I know or anyone in Amarillo with issues. He’s the best!

April Gardea I would recommend Steve to anyone. He is very professional and highly knowledgeable. He goes above and beyond to take care of his customers. He kept me informed throughout the entire process of fixing my car. He explained everything he was doing in detail and sent me pictures and videos. We always went through a game plan before proceeding with any work. Even after getting my car back he followed up to make sure everything was still good. He was also one of the few mechanics in Amarillo who could work on my Volkswagen. I will continue to use Steve as my mechanic.

Ace Talisman Steve is THE MAN, talk about a true magic man with full integrity and honesty. I was stuck in elk city Oklahoma on a Friday night with a bad water pump and I called Steve at about 10pm and he answered my call quick and was super thorough and informative. The next day I had my vehicle towed all the way to Amarillo just to have him work on my ride. After speaking with Steve on the phone I knew right away there was no other man for the job. I showed up and he jumped into action right away, showing me every step along the way and explaining crucial info that no other mechanic ever will. He was honest and upfront about everything and gave me a really good price. He even helped me put new spark plug wires on for free!! I cannot express enough how thankful I am for Steve. He will get you back on the road, FAST! Don’t waste your time with any other shop. CALL STEVE!!

Jesus Flores Terrible place to get your oil changed! I took my Honda Odyssey for an oil change to Meineke on Tuesday, November 26th. The next day I back out of my garage and find a huge oil leak underneath my van. Mind you, I had just had my oil pan replaced in my van in July 2024. I paid $500 to get the oil pan replaced at a different shop. The reason I replaced the oil pan is because I was about to move into a brand new house and I didn’t want my van to be dripping oil onto my brand new garage floor. Now, thanks to Meineke I have a huge oil stain on my brand new garage floor. Anyway, I take my van back to Meineke so they can fix the leak. They get it on the lift and tell me that the oil drain bolt hadn’t been tightened properly. They tighten the bolt and send me on my way. Well, guess what?! Two days later and my van is still leaking oil. It’s not as bad anymore, but it’s still dripping. I think they stripped my oil drain bolt and they don’t want to admit it. I’m going back today to see what they say this time.

Patrick Porter I experienced a catastrophic failure of my steering suspension. Due to death wobble on my Dodge Ram pickup, the spline on the steering gearbox was sheered off and I was stranded just east of McLean, TX. AAA asked me where I wanted the car towed to for repairs. I had no idea who to choose so I looked for any shop that would be open on a Saturday in Amarillo. Well the luck of the draw pulled up Meineke on 963 Georgia St. I had the truck towed there and told them what happened. They assigned the job to Jennifer and she worked tirelessly that day to replace the steering gearbox, steering gearbox hoses and stabilizer links on the stabilizer bar. Unfortunately, they had to order a steering gearbox hose which would not come in until Sunday morning. Rather than make me wait until Monday, Josh came in on a Sunday and put it on. So I hit the road but it turned out that there was an unforeseen problem that may have been the original culprit which was a seized up u-joint on the left front axle. Anyway, there were multiple issues with the front steering suspension that Jennifer and Dave (the owners) worked to correct so I could get home safely, which I did (I live in which is 900 miles away). I found everyone at this Meineke competent and honest and truly cared about getting the best possible outcome for me. I would recommend them for anyone’s car care. Thanks again!

Surjeet Singh Hello fellow truckers. My experience was so bad at this shop. I received a used drive tire from Carlos but it only lasted 400 miles then blew up. As a result, I loss my mud flap. In hindsight, I should have checked the tire more carefully, he spoke very nicely and assured me that the tire wasn’t a recap tire but it definitely was. He charged me 300 dollars for a tire (including labor) and no road side service since I went to his shop. I uploaded an attached video so you can see for yourself.

Samantha Pierce Helped me very much when my motor got flooded and they ended up totaling it. He searched high and low to find me a replacement motor that was compatible to mine but it ended up being more expensive to buy it, ship and install it than my car is worth. I had extremely low mileage. He worked with my insurance agent closely and I didn’t have to do much. Jake was great. Will definitely use them again.

Judy Kh Were not sure what was going on with the vehicle so after spending $800 For the part that may or may not have been broken, had to take the vehicle back, which then it was diagnosed with hopefully what it was actually wrong and spent another $450 to fix it. So what it could have been only $450 to get fixed turned out to be $1250 unnecessary expenses. And of course, they would not want to make it seems like their mechanic was wrong, they said “they stand behind their mechanic and what they thought it was wrong first” . not everyone has that much money laying around to spend for a guessing game. If you’re not sure, just say you’re not sure and let the customer decide if they want to get it fixed or not.

ReAnne Reimschussel David and his wife were amazing to deal with! I had come into to town to visit my husband on Memorial Day weekend. On my way down to TX my AC stopped blowing cold air. I was stressed all weekend hoping to find a mechanic that would be honest, fair and not take advantage of my desperate situation. I had to get back on the road the day after Memorial and that was the soonest any shop was open. I checked out reviews and this was the only place that had ALL good reviews. Well they lived up to the hype. Not only did they get me in first thing but prioritized my job so I could get back on the road for my 13hr. drive. They explained to me exactly what was going on with my car and gave me my options. It was such a relief to find and work with such great people. They are honest, fair, and do their best to help you out. So grateful I came here. As a retired Marine of 22 years, my standards are certainly as high as the Corps! I have had numerous vehicles (Ford Ranger, F-250, F-150 Crew Cab Pick-up, Subaru Forester, and aToyota Highlander) both serviced and repaired by Scott. I HAVE NEVER HAD TO TAKE A SINGLE REPAIR BACK FOR CORRECTIVE ACTION. Relative to firearms, (a relatively new business), he is extremely safety conscious and practices due diligence as the consummate professional that he is! In 1998, my Ford Ranger pickup had an axle separation south of Wichita Falls, Texas. Had I not pulled over immediately, half the axle would have left the vehicle causing the truck to fall to the roadway. I was about 270 miles from Amarillo in the middle of nowhere. To his extreme credit, Scott came down and picked both me and my truck up for the 5 hour return trip home. At most, he allowed me to pay for his gas and lunch! Based on the above experience, I use Scott to examine any previously-owned vehicle that I am contemplating on purchasing and have yet to be disappointed. In addition, we help care for 73 y/o widow friend of limited income. Her mobility as represented by her vehicle is critical to her. On several occasions, we have asked Scott to differentiate between essential safety-related repairs and those of far lesser importance. He has always been fair and correct in his judgment and treatment of her as a customer in her own right! THEY JUST DONT COME ANY BETTER!
