1 /5 Samantha Sonnier: Yesterday I cashed a check there because the account was from that bank, as I did previously without any issues. I went thru the drive thru and after a few minutes the teller comes back and asks me if I have an account with them which she knew I didnt because I handed her my ID with the check and she looked for an account with my info when she matched the info on the check to its account. I told her I did not and she said that they now required anyone cashing a check who didnt have an account with them had to come into the lobby. I drive around and went inside. She handed me and sealed envelope that felt like money & my ID and looked away to continue a conversation with co-workers. I stopped at a store and went to pay for a purchase with the money in the envelope only to find there was only $37. The check was a $40 check. I was too shocked and disgusted to even go back to ask anything. Since the teller wasnt professional enough to explain to me that she charged me to cash THEIR OWN CHECK I am going to assume that is why I got shorted. They count money all day and putting 2 20s in an envelope isnt hard so it was not a mistake. She should have stated that not only have they decided to be inconvenient to anyone that goes there but isnt an account holder but they have also decided to punish them. I have never heard of any banks charging you to cash their check. I will never use them or recommend them to anyone.
