1 /5 Johnnie Hugo: We went with Horace Mann because they had the best rates at the time. They are no longer the best rates, the customer service is horrible, at least with this agent. When we had a loan on our car, we had to call them to request that they send proof of insurance to our lien holder, which most companies do automatically. When we called to insure a new vehicle, the process was ridiculous and they changed our deductibles and drove our cost through the roof. When we had to call for a tow, our agent was snippy and we had to deal with corprate office to get a tow, which we had coverage for. We are frustrated with the service and shopping for a different insurance provider.

5 /5 Homer Rodriguez: Awesome low rates, great customer service every time I have questions they get back to me very prompt. A claim I filed was handled quickly and I received more money then expected for my vehicle which was totaled. Overall great company to have my auto insurance with.

1 /5 Kenna Horton: I switched to Horace Mann in January this year after being a loyal customer of Texas Farm Bureau for 20 years. I was fed up with the poor customer service I was recieving, hopeing it would be better with Horace Mann. I was WRONG. Our son had an accident in June and we have recieved the worst customer service from the claims department. No answer, no call backs, WRONG amount issued for the repairs and now I can not get anyone on the phone to honor the amount. I am the one that sent the quote over to the claims representative, after i recieved it in 2 days. Rep stated she was waiting for it to come directly to her and as soon as she had it we would proceed. I did let them know I have my own mechanic we prefer but he would be using the quote provided by their vendor and repairs started. I FINALLY recieved the check today to find it is extremely less than the quote and this is unacceptable! So I have called her and her manager and STILL NO ANSWER OR CALL BACK OR EMAIL BACK!!!!!! I will be switching
