1 /5 Tasha Mac: I went her to get my wedding ring sized down. I’ll make this short as I can. The lady helped me and when I asked her could she test my diamond before I dropped it off she looked me in my eyes, leaned over the counter as she placed her hand on the glass and said honey this is a family business we have enough diamonds in here. We would never jeopardize our family business over your small diamond compared to what we have in here. I said well ma’am I have heard stories in the pass not about your business but others and I just wanted you to test it. She refuse to test my diamond and said they didn’t have a diamond tester. The man working in there said God forbid we drop it, we probably couldn’t find it and then laughed under his breath.
I still dropped my ring off to this company but I think at this point she was upset with me because I was told it would take up to 5weeks to do done.
In 5 weeks I came back and my ring hadn’t even been touched. A different lady who was polite said you have two people in front of your ring. I asked for my ring back and took my ring to Kay’s jewelry down the street.
Kay’s jewelry took multiple pictures of my ring before sending it off and even tested my diamond to mammals sure it was real and gave me a free value estimate. I had my ring back in 1week and a half.
I wanted to support a small business but in this case the lady got offended when I asked her to test my diamond. I was recommended to go here by a couple of people but I’m not sure if I was treated differently because of the color of my skin or my question. Either way my experience here was nothing close to good service.
