YogaSix Clearlake Reserve - Houston
Kimberly Garcia: I’m disappointed with how Yoga6 handled my billing issue and want to share my experience so others are aware. I cancelled my membership in August but was still charged for September, which I accepted responsibility for after my bank reversed the dispute. However, Yoga6 then decided to add late fees on top of that, even though my payment had originally processed on time. This kind of billing practice feels unfair and not in line with the values of transparency, mindfulness, and customer care that Yoga6 promotes. I truly enjoyed the classes I took at the studio, but this experience has left me questioning their integrity and how they treat loyal clients.
HOTWORX - Deer Park, TX - Deer Park
Dawn Nichols: Just tried the Hotworx free trial and loved it! Its simple to use & easy to find and schedule classes. There are a lot of choices for the workouts. I need to get used to the infrared heat. Evelyn, the girl who helped me was very knowledgeable and put me at ease. **Pros:** - Lots of classes - Easy to use - Intense workouts **Cons:** - Tough for beginners - Heat isn’t for everyone **Overall:** Great experience! Thinking about getting a full membership. Definitely worth a try!
Planet Fitness - Houston
E Trotter: Too many kids playing on machines up here now. Some machines are just never available because groups of kids playing on it rotating with each other for 30 minutes to an hour. Very inconsiderate. The staff is great though, but they dont do anything about it. Waited over 30 minutes for a machine today. Never got it. Gave up. Any time a gym is handing out free memberships to kids, it goes downhill. The atmosphere becomes an amusement park.... at least until the summer is over Uodate: now that summer has come and gone, three issues described a few months ago are not as constant. Enjoying the time before summer is back
Dynasty Boxing Club - Pasadena
roxanna Barragan: 100 percent worth the money hr and a half class goes by fast and the kids are always moving. I like the way they coach and the coaches are very respectful. My 6 year old loves it!
Bayway CrossFit - Baytown
Micheal Rice: I have been attending Bayway CrossFit for a little over two months now. My experience so far has been nothing but great! I am extremely satisfied with not only my results so far but the gym as a whole in itself. The coaches are great at what they do and make an effort to make sure you’re doing the workout at your best ability. The gym gives off a gym family vibe and doesn’t treat the members as just a number.. I highly recommend BayWay CrossFit to anyone that’s looking for a home gym and great coaches.
HOTWORX - Baytown, TX (Garth Rd.) - Baytown
Robin Barth: This location has seriously declined. I’m a sweat everywhere member but this is my home studio and I hardly come here — and the unwelcoming, borderline rude behavior from the staff is a big reason why. Most recently, my pregnant sister stopped by during clearly posted staffed hours to pick something up for me. She wasn’t in workout clothes, so it was obvious she wasn’t trying to access the facility — and yet, she stood outside while the staff stared at her through the locked door, refusing to acknowledge her for far too long. When someone finally came to the door, they opened it just a crack, blocked the entrance with their body, and offered no greeting — just a blank stare. When she explained she was there to pick something up on my behalf, she was immediately brushed off with a dismissive “we don’t do that.” No attempt was made to verify her story, ask for my name, or check my account. It wasn’t until she called me and I relayed the exact same explanation that someone vaguely recalled my call from a few days earlier — and begrudgingly helped her. The entire interaction was unnecessary, uncomfortable, and frankly unprofessional. I understand if there are policies in place, but this wasn’t about rules — it was about attitude. And this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced or heard about staff at this studio acting cold, condescending, or flat-out dismissive. How is this supposed to be a welcoming environment for anyone looking to start their fitness journey or sign up for a membership? First impressions matter, and interactions like this send a clear message: you’re not welcome here unless you’re already part of the club — and even then, don’t expect much. If they had taken two seconds to listen and communicate like decent human beings, this could’ve been a non-issue. But treating someone — especially a pregnant woman — like an unwelcome nuisance is absolutely unacceptable
