Bloom Yoga - Denton
Malaika Jenkins: So I just did a Hot Yoga class with Mika and when I tell you it was worth every bit of my 35 minute drive from Frisco!!!! First of all I love a class that is non-traditional in the playlist and Mika’s music was perfection. She started us off with core which got my blood pumping and allowed me to keep my core engaged the whole class I love and instructor who is very I national in flow of the class. I will definitely make this drive at least once a month cuz I am pretty sure I sweat out my entire birthday month of shenanigans!!
Thunder Extreme Athletics - Denton
Eden: I go to this gym and it is amazing
Anytime Fitness - Carrollton
Iron: Friendly and helpful staff (Keith) makes this location awesome. Great place to get your fitness on due to it being a private-style gym. Come at the right times and there is no crowd, unlike all the other bigger gyms. Been coming here for over half a year and I have no complaints. It’s 24 hours, convenient, and has all the equipment I need. Come check it out!
F45 Training Argyle - Northlake
Dinesh Velhal: I joined F45 about 3 months ago and frankly I wasnt sure if I would really stick with it. This was my first ever experience with the Gym. But I continued and doing more than 5 workouts each week (I am surprised by it myself!), all thanks to the great coaches (I call them my Gurus) and the community that keeps cheering each other :-) The energy levels are so high and infectious. Highly recommend to anyone who is serious about transforming their life!
Physical Education Building - Denton
aishwarya deshmukh: I love playing badminton nd I eagerly wait for Friday but Im upset with one thing badminton should be at least 3 days in a week
Rudra Center Denton - Denton
Ross DeOtte: This place is a spiritual school that has a lot of different practices from different traditions: Shaivism, Shamanic ceremonies, Tibetan Buddhism, Martial Arts, yoga, and more. Beautiful Gardend and buildings- a Denton landmark since 1971
Fitness Connection - Lewisville
Fitness Connection
L Grottis: Fitness Connection is exactly what I need in a gym: clean facilities, welcoming staff (shout out to Tali), well functioning equipment, and generally considerate fellow patrons. Seeing the “regulars” on my gym days brings a sense of community. And I admire Fitness Connection’s motto: faith, family and fitness.
The Shed Strength and Performance - Denton
Alex Cochran: I used to be intimidated when I thought about CrossFit, but theres nothing to be afraid of! After my first class I left smiling and ready to tackle more. The Shed has helped me get stronger and more confident. Everyone is so nice and encouraging, and the coaches will break down anything you dont understand. You dont have to be at a certain fitness level; everything can be scaled to meet you where you are. We all work hard together and it really pays off! Just try one class!
LA Fitness - Lewisville
LA Fitness
SJ: This LA fitness is definitely worthwhile as they’ve updated the gym with a new area of the gym with new equipment that is quite functional. The only caveat with this LA fitness is that it gets super packed because they just closed down a gym nearby creating an influx. This gym does have a dry sauna that works well but it has broken down already since its recent remodeling. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Planet Fitness - Lewisville
Planet Fitness
Justo Bernard: Terrible experience at Planet Fitness in Dallas. I’m not from here — I live in Miami and was visiting a friend in Dallas. I decided to work out at this location using my Black Card membership. After training for over an hour and a half, I was exhausted and hungry, so I ordered some healthy sushi through Uber Eats. Once it arrived, I sat down at one of the tables, respectfully, just trying to eat something light before continuing. Suddenly, a male staff member — a man of color — approached me in an extremely rude and aggressive manner. Without any greeting or basic courtesy, he barked: “Hey bro, aren’t you going to scan in? Why are you sitting here? Why did you bring food?” His tone was inappropriate and accusatory, and it completely threw me off. I told him I had scanned in when I arrived and had been working out for 90 minutes. Still, he kept interrogating me in a very unprofessional way. I even re-scanned my QR to avoid further conflict, but he continued questioning why I was sitting there with food. I calmly asked, “Why not? Isn’t that what the tables are for?” After all, Planet Fitness sells drinks and snacks — it’s not like I was having a picnic. It was just one simple fitness meal. He responded sarcastically and told me to choose: “Are you here to eat or to work out?” Then he made me put my food in a locker and walk away from it. Once I was done with my workout, he finally allowed me to eat, but only “in secret,” in the Black Card lounge. Even then, his attitude was dismissive, cold, and borderline discriminatory. He made me feel extremely uncomfortable, and honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if his behavior was rooted in homophobia. No customer should ever feel judged, mistreated, or humiliated at a place that promotes being a “Judgement-Free Zone.” Planet Fitness, please do better. Train your staff in basic respect and human decency.
