Crossfit San Antonio - San Antonio
John "Juando" Morales: Im glad a returned after my first visit may years ago to do their Saturday Community workout. Coach and owner Mario was great. They have everything an athlete would need to workout, training or break a sweat with their fit family. Highly recommend
Fit 24 Gym -
Reynaldo Palacios: Great gym small but 24 access really helps
Powermaster Fitness - Hill Country Village
Orlando Tellez: Powermaster fitness is an exceptional gym with top-notch weights. The equipment is always accessible, and the gym is pleasantly uncrowded with an absence of teenagers. Additionally, they have a well-equipped upstairs area with Hoist equipment, as well as a dedicated section for cardio.
The Muscle Factory, LLC - San Antonio
Dusten Crabtree: The atmosphere in this gym is great! There are lots of great machines, and it wasn’t very busy which is nice. Will definitely be going back in the future for sure!
EnergyX Fitness - San Antonio
Kalia A.: I absolutely loved PUPPY YOGA CLASS and hope to see more of these types of events. The dogs were so cute and calm. I’m also grateful for the volunteers and the owner. Everybody was so kind. The venue was also great because it was very clean and we had plenty of room. The only downside was having to pay for parking. I think that it is a good partnership between the studio and Footbridge. Lastly, I am also grateful for all of the education that I gained during my class.
LA Fitness - San Antonio
Gabriela Mireles: I have gone by multiple times to cancel my membership. Each time I am told the only person who can cancel is not there. I went 3 weeks ago during business hours and the young lady at the front desk was very unsure on how to handle the situation however she proceeded to print out a cancellation form and said she would see that the manager gets it and I would receive an email notifying me that the membership has been cancelled. Almost 3 weeks later I call to follow up, speak to someone who identified himself as the general manager of sales. Said there was no notice of cancellation and he would see to it that the manager was made aware the following day. I called back today and had to explain all over again to whoever answered the phone just to be told the manager was there however it’s her last day and she doesn’t have credentials to cancel my membership. She made sure to tell me that cancellations were don’t in person to which I replied that I was very well aware of that due to already going in person and it not being handled correctly. I don’t understand why this club is making it so difficult for a member to cancel. I highly doubt my $35 a month will make a huge impact on the business but then again there are far nicer gyms coming into the picture so maybe they are trying to cling on to whatever memberships they can. Either way. This needs to be resolved.
Planet Fitness - San Antonio
Ava Gisvold: I have gone to this Planet Fitness for the past 3 years. The last couple days they have renovated/removed a lot of the machines. The best ab workout machine is gone. The inner thigh/butt has been made into ONE machine. Everyone is lining up to use it. Overall a horrible remodel. Yes, you added free bars but also got rid of everything else. Will be switching to Golds or LA fitness, as they provide still better free weight systems while still having equal machine access Photos of what are gone…
Starting Strength San Antonio - San Antonio
Sadhish Vijaya Balan: This place is awesome! It’s my second week and I train in Austin but had to travel for work to San Antonio. My coach arrange for me to drop in to Starting Strength in San Antonio. Matt Herbert coached me and it was great. I’ve never lifting weights but this guys make it easy. As they always say, all I’ve got to do is show up, eat and sleep well and they will take care of the rest. Anyone, if you are thinking and wanting to be stronger, don’t wait. I hate exercise and am super unfit but I enjoy it and it’s making me so much healthier. And it’s at a price much much lower than other forms of personal training. I looked at 5,6 places before I found this one. Highly highly recommended!!
Golds Gym San Antonio Babcock - San Antonio
carlos gutierrez: I signed up on May 19, 2025, paying a $10 sign-up fee and then $32 a month. Since I was only staying temporarily in San Antonio, I planned to use it for two months and then cancel. What they never told me at sign-up is that there’s also a hidden annual fee of $60 If I had known about that, I would never have joined. The main reason I signed up was because I thought it was a short-term, affordable option. On July 24, I called to cancel and was assured over the phone that I would not be charged again. Later I discovered they had a 30-day notice policy, which nobody mentioned to me. Despite not using the gym since July and no longer even being in the country, they still charged me another $32. So far, I’ve wasted over $150 on a service I did not use. The biggest issue here is the lack of transparency and terrible communication—from hidden annual fees, to misinformation on the phone, to surprise charges. I strongly recommend that anyone considering Gold’s Gym be very cautious. Their policies are not clearly explained, and once they charge you, it’s nearly impossible to get your money back.
Muscle Warehouse - San Antonio
Job Darpolor: Trained at Muscle Warehouse for the first time this weekend and was really impressed. The owners were welcoming, and you can tell they care about building a real community around training. Great equipment and great energy. Definitely a spot where serious lifters can thrive while still being a friendly environment. This is a gym worth visiting if you’re in San Antonio.
