Her skillful touch hit all the right spots, and I felt an incredible healing energy from her that left me deeply relaxed and rejuvenated. The spa’s serene atmosphere made me feel like I was on a mini vacation. Ramona is amazing, and I can’t recommend her and Beautique Day Spa highly enough!

Rob and Bailey Sosa Hannah is literally a magician with hair!! She not only listens to what you want, she will also make the perfect recommendations if you don’t!! I get so many compliments, she’s the best. Everyone who works there always has a smile on their face and seems to be having a good time which is just the icing on the cake!

Rose Carter This was my first time going to this salon and I had a great experience! I got partial highlights with Chasity and also had my hair trimmed and got some curtain/chin bangs. She was friendly and did an amazing job! She asked for inspo pics and I only had a couple and was indecisive, but she was still able to pick out a nice color that suits my skin tone. The owner Eduardo was friendly too. Salon was also cute and had a nice vibe. I’m only here on a vacation but I will definitely come back next time I’m in Houston! Best experience I’ve had at a salon in a long time!

Carol Ly I got my hair done here with Lillian and its so amazing! Shes super skilled and knowledgeable. She dyed my hair and did a hair cut. She showed me the color before and kept making sure to get my input/okay with each step. Love it!! She did amazing!

Life In Rose Farm I wanted a drastic change but was apprehensive about it turning out badly. I scoured TikTok in search of a great colorist and found Bao. I decided to get a cut and color from him. Bao was direct, and particular, but informative and, most importantly, HE DELIVERED! He spent no more than 15 minutes to trim my hair and fix my layers. I loved the result. To preface, I am a picky person and am not easily satisfied (but I didn’t show it). I wanted a light ash brown balayage. He cautioned me going too light because of my warm skin tone and that the light ash brown might age me. Nonetheless, he gave me what I wanted and it turned out PERFECT! He blended my hair beautifully and the result didn’t age me at all. On the contrary, hubby thinks I look younger and friends think the new do makes me look more sophisticated. I was planning to keep this look just for the summer but I may just maintain it a bit longer. I am a Bao lifer!

Jenny Chang I got a haircut, highlight and Brazilian blowout with Daniel today and was really happy with his service. Daniel was really thorough, listened to all my requests and did a beautiful job with my hair. The highlight was subtle yet elegant, just like I wanted. He also offered great tips for styling my hair at home. Overall, I’m very happy with my new hair style and will definitely return in the future!

Marjon Byrne Lexy and her team are amazing!! I don’t have words for how she has brought my confidence back with her skills. I came to her for a color and haircut correction, I went to milk and honey before seeing her and they completely ruined my hair not only was the color splotchy but the cut was as well, I went back for them to fix it and they chopped a decent amount of my hair off and dyed it a warm brown color but it still didn’t look professional. I was lucky enough to find Lux Beauty on Instagram and booked a consultation with Lexy! Everyone at the salon was very attentive and understood that my hair was in a delicate state regardless Lexy had a plan and executed it beautifully! She was clear on what I could expect with my hair goals given the circumstances and we booked our session for the next day! She is incredible and my hair is now even with baby lights throughout and I could not be happier! Y’all have gained a client for life! Thelmalina The ladies there are great! Had a wonderful experience with them, but the owner guy does not know what hes doing. He chopped my mothers hair so badly. I have never seen anyone cut her hair so bad. Then, when she asked to get the sides shorter because he obviously left them longer, he told her, "Youll look like a man." Who says things like that to a person!! If we ever go back, hes definitely not touching our hair! On top of that, he charged us more for her haircut. So unprofessional!!!

Vanessa Lara This place is pretty good. The owner is always there. Theres about 6 hairstylists always working. The wait is a little long because its always packed. The prices are pretty cheap. The location is close to conveniece stores and eateries. The only bad thing about it is that it doesnt have that much parking. You have to look for parking around the building in front of peoples houses.

The shampoo and deep conditioning treatment were great. You can tell they really care about their work and take pride in making sure each client leaves happy.

Nirmali Samarakoon First time cutting my hair in the US and absolutely loved the service here. Maria was great . She did exactly what I had in mind. My husband also got a haircut . We couldn’t get the name of the gentleman who did his haircut but he was great too. Very professional and we will definitely be going there again.

Highly recommend for ANY type of beauty salon services like haircuts for any age or gender even fades, facials, eyebrow wax, eyelash extensions, pedicure, manicure, hair extensions, hair styles, and hair dye! Plus more! I just called to schedule an appointment, I had no wait time and the environment was clean and had great music playing. Today I got a haircut, blow dry and a beautiful nail set. Definitely coming back!

Linda Campbell One lady did my eyelashes and she did not clean my lashes before applying the extension. When she was putting on the extension I told her that it burned and she just brushed me off and told me to put cow milk in my eyes to cool it down, and that it will go away on its own. At the end of the service, she did not tell that I was supposed to take care of my lashes or how, I had to figure that out on my own. Even though as the customer I shouldn’t be the one having to figure that out, the “specialist” should.

Tenna Poulsen Let me just tell you!!! I’m a college student and from the Dallas area, however, I make the drive to come to The Parlour in Houston. The girls that work there are so so amazing and welcoming. Haley B. is my go to girl and I could not recommend her more!!! She’s so talented and I love feeling so confident when I walk out those doors. I cannot recommend this salon enough!!!!

Paulina De La Rosa I saw Haley at The Parlour when searching for a new hairdresser, showed her a picture of the hair color I wanted, and she NAILED IT! Not only is she great at cut and color but she takes the time to explain what and why she is doing what she’s doing. Plus, she educates you on how to have the healthiest hair. I learned so much during my one visit and can’t wait to continue to see her! Love this place. They also have a popup boutique of different local vendors with the cutest jewelry and accessories.

Kristen Lavielle Please use ANA if you want the most natural hair extensions in Houston. I get compliments all the time from my hair which I never had before from my thin and fine hair. Nancy Gomez TBH- When it comes to self care and hair, I AM PICKY & SELECTIVE!!! I have been coming to see Harold since ‘99 for my prom up-do, when he was Northwest Hwy 6 in a different location. Through the years, I’ve come to see him off and on and at one point or another I’ve had service from most of his BILINGUAL technicians. Unique to each person here, has a specific style and flare with different personalities that can make you laugh, confide and leave feeling ✨✨BONITA✨✨. Harold is consistently TOP NOTCH skilled Artist who’s passionate about his craft. Arturo can tame my lion’s mane hair and is gracious with his time for perfection from root to tip of hair strands!! Manuel can whip out highlights on a time crunch. Elena has trimmed lengthy layers on my curly cues with fineness.

Jade Davila I drove 1 hour and 12 minutes to get my hair cut and dyed at Art & Beauty Salon and it was worth it, the whole team does an AMAZING job. I did want to spotlight one specific person. I got my hair cut and dyed by Harold, he was recommended to me from my mom that would get her hair cut and dyed from him when she was younger, and after all these years he remembered my mom which was such a nice thing to see as she spoke highly about him and his work to me. Harold is a very personable person. I felt so beautiful after my haircut and I’ll definitely be coming here again. Everyone that works there does such a beautiful job on hair.

SA Harold is the best, very professional, friendly,artistic, and passionate about his work. the place is very clean, neat, and cozy, everybody is friendly. I love the complementary Colombian coffee :) Each time I feel extremely comfortable and relaxed. He also supports artists by exhibiting their work in his salon! I was referred by my friend 5 years ago and have been doing my hair here ever since! Highly recommended!

RIKKI BRAZIE Umar and his team have been amazing! They worked very hard and spent countless hours working on detangling my hair. When I ran into financial difficulties they worked with me to get the best results i could. When it came time to shave down parts of my hair (i have no doubt he could have finished the job but that became not an option) I was scared and he had me repeat a mantra and said "now its a ceremony" and it was just one of the sweetest kindest things anyones ever done for me. He also found a way to give me a badass warrior style! He listened to me, laughed with me, and made me comfortable. I couldnt have asked for better people to help with this awful situation.

Nina Cosme I’m extremely traumatized by what happened to my hair at Beauty by Umar. I went in on April 16 for a detangling session with mostly loose hair and one isolated knot. I walked out with my entire head severely matted to the scalp, and in actual pain. From the beginning, Umar kept asking what my budget was and repeatedly tried to upsell me on expensive treatments. I clearly stated that all I wanted was to gently remove the knot but he continued anyway. At one point, he even said if my budget ran out, he could just cut my hair off. That should have been my sign to run. Instead of working carefully, he applied water and what he claimed was a “protein treatment,” then blow-dried it into my hair without properly detangling anything first. This caused extreme matting, tightness, and pain I had never felt before. When I voiced concern during the session, he dismissed me and coldly claimed my hair “already looked like that,” which is absolutely false. The moment the damage was done, he ended the session early, barely brushed the ends, and told me to just blow-dry and cover it. I couldn’t sleep that night from the pain and tension in my scalp. Just a few hours later, I sought out the opinion of another licensed stylist, who was shocked and confirmed this never should have happened. I had paid a $250 deposit for a follow-up but canceled, going back would have made things worse. Umar refused a refund and sent a gaslighting message blaming me for “only doing one session” as if I should return to someone who severely worsened my hair condition in just one hour. I have before-and-after photos that clearly show how drastically worse my hair was after his service. This wasn’t just unprofessional it was negligent, manipulative, and emotionally traumatizing. I’ve filed a dispute with my credit card provider and will be filing a formal complaint with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). $125/hour for this level of damage is not just overpriced it’s dangerous. If you have natural, tangled, or delicate hair, please stay far away from this place.

Melannie Millan Stylist here! I rented my suite from a sola for one year and thank goodness I didn’t renew! If you’re a stylist looking for a salon booth rental/suite there are many other locations available with competent management. I was unfortunate enough to not read the warnings/reviews from other stylists that rented here in the past. Justin Jordan is the current manager/owner of this establishment and in my 15 years of working for several different salons, he is by far the most unprofessional, incompetent, hostile and narcissistic person I’ve ever rented from. It ended with me dealing with 2 months of sporadically working AC in the heat of Houston spring weather, the smell of sewage, trauma bonding with several other tenants from this manager’s gaslighting our issues with ac and falsely promising to fix it within the day, being verbally assaulted in front of my client, other tenants and people passing by-Justin threatened to evict me while I had a client in my chair simply because I posted about my experience about his business on my ig. He also illegally attempted to withdraw out of a previous’ tenants account after they had already vacated due to health issues pertaining to lack of ac. This guy gives used car salesman energy. Steer clear of this place! I wish I never left Phenix down the road… way better management and accommodations. He will offer you a low rent rate to get you in the doors but then exponentially add hidden fees and higher rates within one year of renting. I’ve attached videos and photos as well as my email to his co owner of the play by place. DONT RENT HERE.

Robert Morales There are like 20 barbers here, so if you ever show up late to your haircut just go to a different barber. However, I always go to Mankind with Vic and Christian. They know every trick of the barber industry: they can give you a skin fade that doesnt turn into a red rashy mess, they know how to immediately ask you, "so, you got any plans for this weekend?", they know not to chop off that weird mole on the back of your neck, etc. I would also like to mention that the parking lot is only filled with Lexus, Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz so its always easy to spot your own Toyota Corolla.

Christine Shayna is the best color pro in the salon, very up-to-date! She has a perfect eye for my dry cut, along with loads of experience! And she has a really great persona. Her clients always leave the salon looking like a million dollars. Makes my day!

Meta Stein I love this place! Maribel is very knowledgeable and has plenty of experience. I have been taking my daughter since she was very young. The price is fair and she always washes my hair very thoroughly every time before a trim. She always recommends me (and uses) new products to use on my hair, which are quite useful. Maribel and the staff are also very kind, always greeting new guests with a smile. I highly recommend this salon!

L R This salon isnt the most modern in your face salon you have ever been, but thats not what this salon is about...... The salon is in a quiet neighborhood, might have not much to look at but the magic that Rosie does for her customers will make you forget that. At first it takes a minute to trust her views but once you take her advice you will be so happy you did. She is truly the best at what she does best, shes the best colorist Ive ever been too. Her haircuts are beautifully done as well. You will not regret going to this salon. I also had a cut and blow dry to make my do complete, and I have to say, Im sacking my old hairdresser... I looked and felt a million bucks thanks to Rosie.... would highly recommend....
