5 /5 MFT: My sister and I were in Houston for our nephews wedding and we wanted to get our hair done . We are SO HAPPY we landed at here ! Everyone was so nice ! They made it work so my sister and I could sit next to each other for some good sister time ! We don’t have easy hair as we suffer from male pattern baldness . No worries here as you can see by our finished hair ! Megan did my hair and I felt like a queen ! Mercedez did my sister and she felt so pampered ! A bonus for us was Clarissa was able to make our eyes pop when she placed strip lashes for us !! I can’t say enough good things they went out of their way to make us feel special on a very important day for us !! I would highly recommend these ladies to anyone !

lupita pita: Betty is an expert and excellent at her job. I’ve known her and been going with her for over 20 years to do my hair. She has cut, styled, dyed, highlighted and treated my hair for all this time. Before going to Betty, I used to not know how to treat and style my hair for more than 30 years, then God led me to her when we passed by the salon that she used to worked for. She taught me how to treat, and style my hair, because I was born with curly hair and wanted to straighten my hair for many years. She gave me tips and showed me how to do it with a flat iron without burning it. I am very thankful to God for leading me to her. She is God anointed and loves the Lord! I recommend her and she’s very reasonable with her prices.

Melannie Millan: Stylist here! I rented my suite from a sola for one year and thank goodness I didn’t renew! If you’re a stylist looking for a salon booth rental/suite there are many other locations available with competent management. I was unfortunate enough to not read the warnings/reviews from other stylists that rented here in the past. Justin Jordan is the current manager/owner of this establishment and in my 15 years of working for several different salons, he is by far the most unprofessional, incompetent, hostile and narcissistic person I’ve ever rented from. It ended with me dealing with 2 months of sporadically working AC in the heat of Houston spring weather, the smell of sewage, trauma bonding with several other tenants from this manager’s gaslighting our issues with ac and falsely promising to fix it within the day, being verbally assaulted in front of my client, other tenants and people passing by-Justin threatened to evict me while I had a client in my chair simply because I posted about my experience about his business on my ig. He also illegally attempted to withdraw out of a previous’ tenants account after they had already vacated due to health issues pertaining to lack of ac. This guy gives used car salesman energy. Steer clear of this place! I wish I never left Phenix down the road… way better management and accommodations. He will offer you a low rent rate to get you in the doors but then exponentially add hidden fees and higher rates within one year of renting. I’ve attached videos and photos as well as my email to his co owner of the play by place. DONT RENT HERE.

Carol Ly: I got my hair done here with Lillian and its so amazing! Shes super skilled and knowledgeable. She dyed my hair and did a hair cut. She showed me the color before and kept making sure to get my input/okay with each step. Love it!! She did amazing!

Thelmalina: The ladies there are great! Had a wonderful experience with them, but the owner guy does not know what hes doing. He chopped my mothers hair so badly. I have never seen anyone cut her hair so bad. Then, when she asked to get the sides shorter because he obviously left them longer, he told her, "Youll look like a man." Who says things like that to a person!! If we ever go back, hes definitely not touching our hair! On top of that, he charged us more for her haircut. So unprofessional!!!

Liz Adams: My Salon Suites welcomed me with open arms to open my suite. Kim is the manger that helped me. She made sure that my move in was easy breezy. Any questions I had, she patiently answered. I love this location, it’s in such an eclectic area with other artists since it’s located right by Sawyer Yards & art studios. The lighting in suites is amazing. I’m surrounded by windows and skylights which is an absolute must for colorists. Also, the view of the trains are so cool! Everyone at this location (management and other tenants) has been so kind and welcoming. Kim made sure my dream suite was ready to move in on time and flawlessly.
