Ashli Gray Every time I’m in town I go to Mimi’s! Have for around 10 years! They have amazing prices compared to others, amazing service Got a nice pedicure and this set done last night and I love it! I can not recommend them enough!

Alyssa Johnson This places offers really good prices and decent French tips. I would recommend this place if you’re just getting gel nail polish or just something simple. I would not recommend getting tips as mine came out pretty crooked which is something I asked about during the service but no solution was offered. You can see how crooked my middle finger it is, but luckily I only needed to get one tip as all my other nails were long enough to not need any tips for the length I wanted. Be WARY of getting your cuticles done as well because mine were shaven until several nails bled and they didn’t seem to care at all which is a little disconcerting. You can see a little blood left over on my cuticles. But the overall nails aren’t terrible.

JCrispyJuno Excellent Quality of work done, nails are gorgeous. Mimi’s salon is very tranquil and has nice decor. Going to the nail salon is like when guys go to the barbershop and you talk about all kinds of things; it’s just always very interesting. Do support this business.

Camice Karing It was very hard to fathom why this place has such good ratings. The cleanliness was awful with broken and clipped nails from the customer before me all over the desk. The tools clearly aren’t washed in between use. The color selection is incredibly limited and they take a very long time to do a very poor job. I would never recommend this place or go back

Demi Ford Was here about a week ago with my 7 year old daughter. We have been coming here for years and usually they only spend 10-15 minutes on my daughter( which she is little so I never complained) but this time we had the pleasure of getting this new girl. She was younger (said she was 19) she was AMAZING! she talked to my daughter the entire time she did her pedicure and shared their interest on lilo and stitch, took her time, perfected the designs she wanted on her toes and even did the designs on her fingers even though she had never done designs on fingernails before. I unfortunately did not get her name! If you have little ones I highly recommend her!!

Diane Moran I have been pleased twice before to this salon for pedicures and mini manicures. The ladies are pleasant and there are plenty of workers. This last time, I went only to have my old polish removed and then trim my toenails. The lady took some toenail clippers out of her bucket. I had to remind the nail lady to use sterile nail clippers before clipping my toenails to avoid infection. She accommodated and also took out a new file set to file my toenails. I thought a sterile set of tools to be used was customary practice. Anyway, I was satisfied with my toenail trim and cleanup. She was a kind woman, making sure I exited safely from the chair. I like this salon. The ladies have sweet dispositions and do not do a lot of chattering among themselves either.

Raquel Daniels My sister and I went in today for our first pedicures. Every one was so nice and our feet came out so bomb! We will definitely be coming back and we will be recommending this nail salon to our friends and family. Thank yall so much!

Kay Family The best pedicure I’ve ever had!!! Such a nice surprise!!! I left a doctor’s appointment, and they were in the same strip center, so I decided to give them a try!!! I loved my nails and my toes :). I will for sure be back

Cassy Yearwood The people were nice , however, were in a rush to get us out. My daughter got a pedicure for homecoming to last until the next week because we wouldn’t have the time the day of. It smeared due to them trying to take on extra clients , so we asked to fix even if we had to pay extra. They didn’t put the protective coat on. Now we are home , same day and this pedicure didn’t even last the day much less until next week for homecoming. Such a waste of money.

Payton Vincent I went in for a classic gel pedicure and was there for over 2 hours (I was seated right away too). I did need to get fake nails put on my big toe nails but it still shouldn’t have taken that long especially since the shape turned out terrible. She tried one technique which was literally putting acrylics over the 3/4’s of the way grown back nail and failed miserably then did powder and took an hour, and I ended up with thick blobs for big toes. She kept picking at my skin and irritating it really bad and I told her it’s fine and to stop and she said “I’m almost done” and she ended up breaking my skin open and having to put neosporin on it and told me to go home and do the same????

Larie Adams Terrible. Nail tech was very rude when I asked her to clean up the polish she had gotten all over my cuticles and fingers- told me it was the polish I choose that was not good ( it’s THEIR polish, lol!) and that it takes too much of her time to clean it up. She did not do a full manicure with the dip- and said it’s not “ included “ when I asked why she wasn’t trimming cuticles—to which I agreed to pay the $5 extra for a critical trim. This again annoyed her. I was literally the worst dip I’ve ever had- EVER. Don’t go there! It looks like a 5 year old did my nails, lol

Andrea Alvarado I am 38 years old and even since I was a kid my hands have always sweated. Due to that my nails never lasted more than 2 weeks, I have tried roughly 50 different nail techs and always had the same issue with lifting. I found Lisa at Victory Lakes about a year ago and let me tell you I will be her client for the rest of my life. My nails last 2 months, sometimes longer. I am extremely picky and she always does an amazing job. I love the shop it’s always clean and I love LISA! She is the best at what she does. If you’re looking for a great pedicure, you need to try Lauren she’s amazing also. -Client for life!

Maria C. Arevalo Think twice before supporting this business with your business! Horrible, awful service... This nail place used to be a good one. HOWEVER, that is not longer the case. In my last experience, having a basic pedicure done, the tools used for the pedicure were obviously not sanitized, the gloves utilized by the technician were dirty and already used, the towels were already wet, and the demeanor of the individual doing the pedicure was unfriendly and very rude. When brought it to the managers attention, he did not care and responded that I only paid $30 for a basic pedicure. I guess a basic pedicure is actually a mediocre job lacking basic quality! I ended up going somewhere else for the manucure. Again, think twice before supporting this business with your business!

Nicole Henderson Went in here for my birthday because of a coupon THEY emailed me. I was going to get a higher priced pedicure but the vibe in the salon after I walked in told me not to. I got the basic and it was just that. Basic. My feet were still rough when I left, no lotion was applied to my legs even, I know most salons don’t apply to feet but they at least apply to your legs. I was cut SEVERAL times and was just praying he worked faster so it could be over. Got to guess when my own nails were dry because they were just playing on their phones ignoring everyone. I’ve been here a few times over the years and it’s fine if you go with someone else it seems, or if you’re a regular who spends big money here. Otherwise, go to a nicer place.

Casey Gregg-Guyton I took my 90 year old vet neighbor in to get pedicure and manicure. The tech was very good with him and did a great job. It was nice and quiet as it was early in morning and a weekday which was good for 90 yoa and there was not a strong smell. One of his caregivers recommended this place as she goes there. I plan to take him back monthly and also take my hubby

I8ahampster Num num I own a business right down the way from them and giving that I moved here a while back I need to find a place closer to home. I tried lovely nails out a few days ago. Given they close at 6:30pm I walked in at 6pm. They both took me in even though it was time to leave soon. They did my pedicure and nail refill. Given it was a last minute schedule I hope on next visit I can look at pedi menu to see if they offer more detailed pedis. I love to get my feet done and pamper my feet. I am hoping to have a little more time to get longer pedi, wax on my feet, as well as nice volcanic lotions, scrubs and oils. I would definitely recommend lovely nails! It’s small and more cozy compared to the bigger hype over blown loud nail salons. I love to go somewhere that I can relax and spend over an hour getting my pedi and nails done. Again both employees working were very nice and talkative. Thank y’all!

T Mc Where do I begin? I’ve been a client of La Belle Nails & Spa for yrs, prior to their present location but my pain tolerance and patience is now DONE! I previously forgave the bloody toe I was left with after the tech was overzealous when “removing a hang nail”. I was also patient and kind enough to climb around the dangerous construction obscuring the entrance. But to spent so much money, in this economic climate only to receive subpar service on clumpy/ tacky pedi that costed $60+ and after returning 2 consecutive days (to fix it) SEEMS LIKE A DELIBERATE slap in the face as a REGULAR client. See attached photos below. The 2 stars are for the manicure. RUN pass this place for your own good.

Elizabeth Dickey Prices are super reasonable. My nails lasted THREE WEEKS, overlay with French tip. Tony does an amazing job. A friend and I got overlay nails and painted toes $125 for both of us combined! Can’t beat the price or the quality. I’ve tried several other shops in the area. I’m not going anywhere else but HERE.

Alexis Neely I’ve been here a couple times for a pedicure and I’ve like the service. My pedicures always come out as expected and the plain white (no gel) remains as requested. On Saturday, I went around 12pm to get nails done before my daughters Sweet 16 party. On this visit, I got my nails done this time. While getting my nails done, I was questioned over 5 times about getting gel nails, shellac and powder instead of regular white nails as requested. I got really aggravated having to constantly repeat what I wanted. My nails are finally done and I’m getting ready to go wash and I’m asked again if I want shellac polish for an extra $15 dollars. Again, I say no. Very pushy with telling you what you need and what would last or look better rather than listening to what the customer wants or is requesting. Anyways, My daughters and I leave and everything is fine until 7pm. We are getting dressed to leave and my nails are a totally differed color. Brown!!! Mind you, I went to the mall, decorated a hotel room and put clothes on after a shower. I never touched any chemicals, makeup or anything else to make my nails this color. My toes are white while my nails are brown. Same service was requested on nails and toes. Disgusted on so many levels. I spent $150 at the place only to have something totally different not even 24 hours later.

LCC Davis There are so many nail salons and all of them are hit or miss. Although the reviews for this one seemed 50/50 I just tried it anyways since its close by. Everyone was polite, but there is the obvious communication barrier like many other nail shops. There was a guy not wearing gloves while doing pedicures, and gloves should be mandatory for safety reasons. Other suggestions include better ventilation for everyones sake, and UV Dryers specifically for pedicures. Other than that my pedicure went well. Exactly as I wanted it. My manicure (full set ombre with color acrylic powder) was done by Michelle who did an absolutely amazing job. I showed a photo of what I wanted and they did it EXACTLY like the photo. I am very pleased with my manicure and plan to return. PHOTOS FOR REFERENCE: Photo I showed to Nail Tech (1st picture)...My nails once done (2nd picture). Great job getting it right!

Stephanie Barry The polish still looks great 2 weeks later! The price is fair ($40-45) and I totally appreciated getting a free coke. However, the place is run down/messy and they didn’t want to lose a customer, so they said they could work on my nails and put me in the chair - but didn’t tell me I’d have to wait 45 min (when they would be closed) instead of turning me away. One employee had gone home for the day already, and I didn’t know they were short staffed. I wished they’d just said they couldn’t do it, but I understand them not telling me this and not wanting to lose a customer.

Qui Lashea I will never go to this nail shop again. I came here to get my nails done with my mom and my grandmother. One of the ladies in there I can’t remember her name did my nails, all I wanted was a French manicure. And she jacked my nails up to the T. My 5 year old could do nails better than her. The tip was very uneven the acrylic powder was lumpy and uneven and she failed to remove the access polish from my nails once she was done. She rushed through the whole process. I normally get my nails done in Houston where I live but I wanted to try someone else. I won’t make that mistake again. $30 gone down the drain I’m beyond irritated that I wasted my money on such trash!!! I hope no one else experience what I had to endure... beware!!!!!!!!!!! If I could give them 0 stars I would.

Jazmine Went here and tried to get an old set removed. Jackson first clipped down the nails then tried to remove what was left of the acrylic from my natural nails with a fake nail. When I told him not to do that because it hurt he looked at me like I was crazy and asked “how else am I supposed to take it off?” I said .. “can’t you use acetone?” And he said it would take too long to do that. I said I didn’t mind waiting. He walked away and complained to one of the ladies that works there. I ended up just leaving and went to another, more reputable shop. He felt that it was okay to cause pain as well as possibly cause damage to my natural nails for the sake of saving time which is pathetic to me. These nail shops don’t care about anything except for taking your money.

Gylysa Murphy One of the worst experience ever!!!!!! THE man that works there has a Terrible attitude and puts his hands on clients! and destroys customers personal belongings!!!! not to mention curses them out and tell them to leave because of his own BAD customer Service ...I will not recommend this place to anyone even his local customers

Nic R I asked for ombre nails that were almond shaped medium – short. Instead, I received a set of fingernails that were not prepared properly. No trimming no cuticle removal. The powder was laid on very thick and the ombre effect didn’t go as expected. I’ve had this done many times and there is a gradual change from one color to another that didn’t occur. I produced a picture on my phone of the shape of nail and length that I wanted to make sure that that was communicated even if there are language barriers. This set was supposed to cost me $40 but I suppose since I chose to do ombre it came out to $60. (it was not communicated to me that there was an up charge or what it was.) I always tip well so the total came out to $80. I’m a little bit resentful because this is not good quality. Perhaps it is my fault for trusting a nail salon inside of Walmart but the prices enticed me and now I know that you get what you pay for. Some people go here and have a great experience but that just wasn’t what happened for me.

Shawonna Johnson I paid $45 for a refill overlay and shellac polish. The shellac polish and top coat that were used must have been old/expired because the finish product was lumpy, rough, spotty and uneven. I polish my own nails better at home. I had a really great conversation with the nail tech Mina, but I wont be back. I dont like wasting my money on unsatisfactory service. If I had time to spare, I would have gone back to make her redo them. A complete waste of my time and money!!

2 Dogs & a Hedgehog I wish I could give them 0 stars. We were supposed to pay 50.00 but the lady charged us 157.00 #NeverGoingThereAgain. Also my design looks terrible but the lady doing our nails were very nice and very good.

Catherine G Very disappointed in this salon usually does pretty good, this time all was rushed, now I have to keep an eye on the toes, she did hurt me a couple of times and made me bleed, also with the wax for the feet and the stones they were so hot, I had to tell her she needed to cool them a bit more the same with the nails skipping steps in the middle of doing the nails I asked to have them trimmed down and she cut them and they were still a little long then she just went and snipped them and I told her she cut them to short she said I asked for that I said no, your on your phone and in a rush and not paying attention to what you’re doing she tried to make nails but them filed them all off, I have this air pocket in the big thumb nail and some of the others weren’t sanded correctly, I hope that they do not get infected, she also made me bleed. She said it’s much better now yes. I told her no, it was a bad job, I try do give my money to local businesses and they ruined it by rushing and not caring about the customer. I know I was not the only one that had that happened to that day the lady next to me kept saying your hurting me, I will be going back to my old salon which is a big corporation.

Mandii Stuart Places is good besides, the old lady that works there. For some reason they give me this lady every time, and she is terrible! I don’t know if she can’t see or what, but every time she files my toenails, she cuts me open. When she cuts the cuticles, she also cuts you and makes you bleed. Then if you ever get hot towels or the foot wax, she doesn’t let it cool and burns you really bad. Every time they give me her, I get straight and anxiety

Rayven Caldwell Upon calling to ask prices about get lashes done she stated over the phone $12 for strip lashes once getting service done she upd the price to $17 stating because they were thicker, which they werent anything special. They were $2 hair store lashes! Instead of just saying the prices vary she clearly added simply cause it was a slow day cause I was clearly the only customer in the shop. Remind you they lasted 3 days. I then allowed a different worker to wax my brows, she waxed my skin 4 times leaving me with this burn mark which is totally uncomfortable walking around with a swollen half shut eye. Im pretty sure you arent supposed to apply hot wax that many times in one session to the same area but me trying to relax and allow them to do their job it turned out a not so good experience.

Nikki Anderson Lisa did my mani and pedi. She was super cool, kind and made me feel welcome. She can do just about anything nail design as long as you show her a picture. I will be going back to this location and request Ms. Lisa when I need a feel or color change. I recommend this salon. The prices are very reasonable and the service was awesome.

Shana B I went in for a pedicure and lashes. The pedicure was sub-par at best. Equivalent to something you could do yourself at home. No attention to detail. I asked for medium individual lashes. I am sensitive to glues and asked the tech to be careful applying too much. This broad did a horrendous job, there was CLUMPY CHUNKS OF BLACK GLUE all over my eyelids. it took a ridiculous amount of time to clean off. the lash application was terrible. If I werent so concerned with getting out of there to get the glue out of my eye I would have taken their licenses number to report them. O dont leave near Texas City or Id go back. This is a service only TRAINED PROFESSIONALS should be performing on customers UNACCEPTABLE!

Carolyn McGee One of the worst pedicures I have ever had. Poor sloughing skills, no skills at trimming cuticles, and there was so much polish on my skin it took her 6-7 attempts to try and clean the polish from around my nails. Very disappointed and I will never return.

Rooster Word of advice dont ever go to this place unless you want your nails crooked never again will I pay for my girl to get her nails done from this place again. Now to go to some else to get them taken off my girls fingers.
