Wendi Belyeu Madalyn Howard (Wild Hair Therapy) gave me a relaxing hair wash, nice trim and a "make me feel gorgeous" blowout! Very professional and kind. She is inside Elegant Images. The whole place was nice, I felt comfortable and all the ladies were sweet as can be! They offer a lot, not just hair cuts.

Anna Sousa-wilkie Love this place,Chelsea is my hair lady. Shes professional,friendly,caring Beautiful in and out,I love this lady she does an awesome job.

Price Brianna (Bri) My whole family goes and sees Katherine and let me tell you, she is awesome! She jokes around, has a great sense of humor, knows how to work well with kids hair cuts (loves to give the kids fun colors and cuts), does wonderfully with my husbands hair(and he has really thick hair and insane cowlicks) and beard, and has put up with my crazy demands from going white blonde to dark to blonde and then perming even with my thin damages hair! She knows how to get you where you want your hair to be, just trust the process!

Susan Mesloh Love the longevity, quality & natural look these amazing extensions create. Kristin Wilkins totally nails it every time with her installment techniques and color blending is on POINT. Seriously, you can’t tell where your hair ends & extensions begin. I’ve been getting extensions for 5 years due to health & hair growth issues, used about every method out there and finally found the cream of the crop! My natural hair is not suffering any damage and is healthier than it’s been in years. No joke! I’m Obsessed with my hair!!!!

Ashton Knight The first time I walked into Calamaco’s he knew exactly what I wanted before I even said anything. This guy is so talented that I drive 3 1/2 hours to get my haircut there. Not only is it the best haircut you’ll ever get, the environment is also so friendly and welcoming. It’s like your home away from home. 10/10 recommended.

Laurin Farmer I absolutely love the natural earthy feel the salon offers to guests! All the women there are beautiful and fun to be around and talk with. Ive use Paula Jefferys and Amanda Bailey to cut my hair and take off the dead ends, and Paula does excellent work in Natural Plant Based Hair Dying! I always walk out of Bliss feeling like a new woman! Theyre also great with kids! I totally recommend checking them out!

Courtney Dusek I am a hard critic of people cutting or styling my hair. It’s naturally kinky curly and that is difficult for most stylists to deal with. I’ve had many stylists overs the years completely butcher my hair. Sandra is great, with her many years of experience, she not only cuts my hair with genuine ease, but she also talks to me throughout the entire process to make sure I am the one in charge of the final product.

Sandi Thomas I was in dire need of hair care and had recently moved to Lufkin. I got a coupon in my mail for a cut and color and made an appointment. I knew no one at the salon and was told I would be seeing Linda for my services. I arrived promptly for my appointment the next day and Linda made me feel very comfortable. She was perfect with both my hair coloring and giving me a flattering cut. I will definitely be going back to her. I feel so lucky to have been directed to her.

Kyra Pangelinan I would give 0 if I could!! Word of advice for anyone who gets their hair braided : DO NOT use “ Authentic African hair braiding “ in lufkin located at 1001 Lee avenue. The owner did braids on my hair which I let her know were for my birthday a present from my husband. She told me she could do it ( my hair is growing out but still feasible to braid) . No more than 3 days after having it done I start losing several braids in the back. I called her and let her know she said that I can call and tell her when I can come have her fix them. ( I live almost an hour from her shop). I called this past Thursday and scheduled for this morning at 8:30 am. I get there and she’s not there I then call her at 8:36 am and she tells me she’s in Houston and she’s tired to come back tomorrow. I tell her I can not drive up here again and would like a partial refund. She then tells me she’s not giving any money back and I should know how my hair is that it’s my own fault for getting it braided. I tell her she’s being disrespectful and has me drive an hour away to turn right back around after she told me she could do my hair knowing she couldn’t make it last. These braids are meant to last 6-8 weeks. She then calls and leaves me a voicemail saying before I tell google take all my hair out and show them my hair demeaning me. Upset isn’t even the word. Warning all others to NOT use this shop. On top of this the parting is all uneven some are squares and some circles. Disappointed in this whole experience and mainly the customer service. Please don’t waste your money there you will be disappointed. She also gave someone the same braids as me booking their appointment for $30 less than me. A very crooked person to say the least. And runs the business under 2 phone numbers the other is listed on google as Kafui hair braiding. When you call one number she tells one price and then if you call the other she says higher so you’ll still go with her thinking she’s cheaper. She did this to a young person on the phone while doing my hair. Extremely unclean and was eating while performing my service. Those braids should have taken 6-8 hours and they took 10 hours because she was constantly on her phone talking to people. No regard for customers time.

K. T. Mona braided my hair very well. It’s neat and clean and the parts are clean and straight. I have very unmanageable hair and she braided it like a pro. I set my appointment for 9am and we got started right away. No one was ahead of me and she was very professional. Also she wasn’t on the phone the entire time in my ear like other places.

Lucresha Phillips Unreliable! The 1st appt that we had she missed because she decided last minute to go to Houston for Memorial Day weekend. 2nd appt I get there on time and had to wait an hour and a half for her to finish a walk-in then while in the middle of my appt took another client because she double booked. 3rd appt she refused to give my a quote on how much she charges for med box braids, just told me be there the following morning at 830 am, of course I get there and another woman is waiting with the exact same appt time and she wasnt even there, she had a sign on the door that said that she was on vacation. Never again.

S. Davis I was able to get my locs done with a beautiful wedding style by Ms. Shon at Ideas. My wedding day was yesterday August 10, 2019. And I had nothing but compliments. Ms. Shon also gave me the very style that I wanted. This place has the best. God bless!!

She didn’t just do my hair just to do it, but takes pride in what she does and her work definitely shows! She is very patient and provided a lot of information on how to care for my hair and made sure all of my questions and concerns were answered before leaving. Environment was so nice and I was relaxed the entire time of getting my hair did. 10/10 service no complaints definitely my go to stylist from now on.

Niecy This was my first visit with Mrs.Jeanisha! She talked to me through out my visit about my natural hair and I felt very comfortable being here and learning more about my hair! They take their time and make you feel like a valued customer, not to mention they make you feel beautiful by applying the make-up and instructing you on how to use it.

marquis ware This is my story and I am posting this almost two years later because honestly I just have time . I am not quite sure if I can still do anything about it because waited so late because of life . I was at her studio I think in 22 and purchase a wig 500 ok.. took the wig back two months b later because the band broke . Went back a couple of times to get hair done and wig was still not done .. I think 4 or 5 months pass and absolutely no communication and I did try to reach out a couple times but by this time had a lot going on and now a couple of hours away .. one of my communication was I would send a courier to get my wig but no response.. when I finally call her she told me it had to been months and she has too look for it .. so I told her if you can’t find it give me my money back and needless to say she wanted more money for aka fixing and styling of the wig .. we never made that agreement.. she stole my 500 thus good Christian women .. be careful if you do get service from her .. she is a thief and a lier
