Dianne Veronica is very friendly. She listens to how you want your hair cut. Show her a picture and she will give that cut. Ive had some experiences where I tell them what I want and even show a picture and leave with a cut that is not what I wanted. I am so happy that I found Veronica. She is the best.

Stacy Brookman Veronica is an amazing stylist and person. I was grateful that she is experienced in razor cuts. She took time to understand what I needed. Asked great questions to find out about my hair. It turned out amazing. Im happy to have found my new hair stylist!

Christy Allinder Powell So very awesome love that she did exactly what I was asking for to fix a previous issue I had from a prior stylists from back home. I live out of town and will drive the 4 hours it takes just to have Veronica take care of my hair. She cut, colored and styled my hair worth every penny and awesome out going personality.

The Shiz Two ladies did the hair for my kids. I didnt catch the name of the lady who cut my sons hair, but she did just how we wanted it. Rubi did my daughters hair, and did an excellent job of capturing the look we wanted, with insightful information on the style and her hair. Fantastic

Juanette Butts Made an appointment online. No wait time. Mary M. has seen me only a few times, months apart, yet she immediately remembered me, and remembered how I like my hair. That impressed me. The salon is open on Sundays, which is nice for those of us who work long days Mondays - Fridays and many times on Saturdays. Thank you, Mary M!!

Myrna Aguilar Pretty disappointed I have to say, I had high expectations for this business only to find out she doesnt do dreadlocks! unfortunately for me I sent Maruja $20 for deposit before knowing this! Not only did I lose $20 but I wish she was more informative and honest. CLEARLY SAYS DREADLOCKS UNDER SERVICES*

Nia Brantley I absolutely love my daughters braids. Her braids are neat with clean parts (that are all exactly the same size and 100% age appropriate). This was my daughters first time to get her braided, and she enjoyed it the experience (meaning the braids are not too tight) . I also truly appreciate the fixable times available for scheduling appointments. I highly recommend going to Maruja Hair Braiding. You will not be disappointed.

Tracy Russell Maruja did a great job with my hair. She was very professional and I was able to get an appointment with her the day before. I will be going back to her.

Oscar Mendoza You go in there and ask for a fade and they just cut the sides like what the hell dude this is the 3rd time if your getting paid to do your job do it right it’s not that hard to do a low fade with 0 skin like they just cut the side with a 1 and you don’t even wanna say nothing to not be rude but it’s the last time I go here they don’t listen to what you want in the start of it they listen then doze off and do whatever they want not ok I’d. rather go to dj barber shop then this place

Sara S Wonderful ladies who work here all so very kind Ive been bringing my son here since he was little and its always been a good experience there very gentle and kind with children they our fast and it still looks great. Would highly recommend to bring your children here for there first haircuts . Highly recommend!

Sars101 Spanish speaking but they know English. 4 techs working all the time. Less then 10 minutes waiting. I seen woman and men in line. I called and they do close at 7pm I have been going for 6 years no issues

Annmarie Monsegue My hair appointment was for 1pm...didnt start until 4:30pm...didnt get the size braids I wanted...didnt get a discount for waiting over 3 hrs...stylist was rushing and my boho parts were sticking out...Shay is the only stylist that does a great job but unfortunately she wasnt there. Was told one price the day before but was charged a different price the day of...2nd time thats happened...unless shay is there...I wont be returning.

Whatcha Sippin I’ve been going to this place off and on for a couple years, but the owner never done my hair until these last two times I went worst mistake ever. Yes the owner with the bad blonde wig done my hair, and the second time she did my hair I explained to her that the first time she did my hair it was ugly, the braids paper then, a lot of my hair wasn’t in them, and my scalp was itchy the whole time, but I paid her for a service, so I just wore it, and decided to give her a second chance. She must have been secretly upset because she tried to braid my hair tighter then ever, but I remained quiet, because in my mind I was thinking she might actually put all my hair in the braids this time. When she finished she puts all this wax and moose in my hair clogging all my pores again then asked me to me to melt it again under that the dryer and of course I said no then I paid and tip her and told her I would see her it to weeks she replied two weeks as if I called her out of her name it’s been a few days and my hairs have felt like ants are eating at my scalp again and my real her has came out of the braids again. Don’t let the owner touch your head.

breana Tower If there were an option for zero stars Id put that . I showed the lady what I wanted was a shoulder length hair cut I ended up leaving with a horrible butch bob cut . The ladys that were in the salon were both rude and unprofessional. The lady who cut my hair done what she wanted and never took what I wanted into consideration!! Will NEVER go there AGAIN

She accommodated an appointment the same day (today) at 1pm and did an excellent job with my hair after viewing a pic of a hairstyle I previously had a few years back. Thank you! You are awesome ❤

Julie Jones I was referred by a friend to Cayse. I had not had my hair done in a year and was in desperate need of a cut and color. After consulting with Cayse and showing her inspiration pictures, she brought to life what I had pictured. Definitely will return. Highly recommend!

Megan Espinoza Gina and Kim were so so sweet. Gina cut my hair, talked through what she was doing and why throughout the appointment, and sent me out with the most flattering cut. I completely trusted her. I never really write reviews, but you can just tell these two give off a light. I will definitely be going back! I’m sure everyone is nice.

Ck Av Ive heard so many good things about this salon and I can back them up. I came here for an up-do with Sulema, she did great. I also came for color treatment after a not-so-good hair experience with different stylist earlier in the month, I went to get my hair fixed with Leslie and I loved it. The experience was great from beginning to end, the salon was comfortable and welcoming. Booking the appointments was easy, i asked several questions and the caller on other end answered all of them and was polite. For my up do Sulema was extremely accomodating and very friendly, did a great job on my hair. For my hair processing Leslie kept checking on my hair color and comfort, offered some water [ yes, amazing hairstylist, bonus points]. After Leslie was done with my hair I was completely happy with my results, they were what I initially wanted and looked beautiful. Another big plus is they are affordable. Seriously check these ladies out, they are amazing.

Blanchard Benjamin (benthebearslayer) This was an amazing experience, Im a guy so I dont always know how-to salon. I was a walk in on a Tuesday and I needed a styled haircut - plus I have long hair. I maybe waited 20 minutes but the service was outstanding. Haha also, my fiance wont stop telling me how cute she thinks I look with my new style. Go here, you wont be disappointed!

Gracious Goddess Nicci is hands down the absolute best!! Ive been natural for 6 and a half years. Ive been wanting to go back to the creamy crack ((relaxer)) for a long time now. Im so so happy with the results. The atmosphere was great. The vibes were on point. The space was just down right comfortable. I feel like a superstar. I couldnt stop smiling. Im still smiling. I showed my fiance and he said its absolutely amazing. Thank you so much Nicci I wish I wouldve went on and made this decision years ago. Back to my healthy hair lifestyle

Alma Delia Nicki and her girls are super good and do it pretty fast, whether it be braids or twists, but dang I was IMPRESSED BY THEIR WRK, on my 2 boys hair....And Nicci is So Kool, and Makes you feel comfortable and welcomed....Wish theyd hurry up and reopen;)!

Jincy Joseph Went there for hair coloring because of the good reviews seen here. Id called twice to get an appointment. No one picked up. Left a voice mail the first time, didnt get a call back. Didnt get an option to leave voice mail the second time for whatever reason. So decided to walk in and see if I can get the hair colored. When I stepped in, I was asked if I have an appointment and the stylist mentioned that she works only with appointments. I mentioned that I called to get an appointment but didnt get one. She asked if I called the right number and I said I called the number I saw in Google. All good so far, then she asks me while taking a sip from her drink, "Do you just like to walk in and not take an appointment?" Why should that question be asked to someone who already said they tried to take an appointment? It completely threw me off. She gave me her business card later. I just stood there with my phone, looking at her website. I was very uncomfortable already due to how rude she was. Some of her clients were nice and told me about her booking app. Ive never been to this salon before and I totally understand why she is not able to accommodate me today ( She mentioned that she is the only hair dresser). I can tell that she is good at her job looking at the client she was working on but she needs to learn how to respect people, especially her first time customers. I didnt book an appointment, just walked out.

N V F I took my daughter to get a haircut and she chopped up my daughters long hair so bad…. My daughter asked for long layers and it was so uneven never again let’s just say if you want a good haircut this is not the place to go to

Chloe Skokan Ive gone to Beth a few times now, for a couple of haircuts and a styling treatment. Beth is incredibly kind and welcoming, and every haircut she has given me has turned out fantastic! I have thicker/curlier hair, and normally Id have to pay an arm and a leg for a haircut. But Beths prices are super reasonable, and you get a really high quality cut! I also have psoriasis, which is something Im pretty embarrassed about. But Beth has been really understanding - She treats it like its totally normal and not something to be ashamed of, which is something I really appreciate. Overall, Id highly recommend coming to Beards and Babes! Everyone is so friendly, the atmosphere is great, and I can say for sure that I wont be going anywhere else for my haircuts from now on. :)

noelea ch I found my new place! I had no idea what i wanted, and Megan had a vision. She did my cut and color, and it turned out fantastic. She just has a great eye for it. I know that every time we go in, she will create something amazing. The atmosphere is great and everyone is so friendly and easy to talk/joke with. I could hang out there every day. After multiple bad cuts and lots stress, we found Debra. My 9 year old son is picky and nervous about getting his hair cut, and Debra really helped him relax and feel at ease about it. She was even able to give him a new style(1st time ever) with no problem. I couldnt be happier. ❤️❤️❤️

Josalyne Wyatt Overall the place was nice, clean and the hairstylist was very professional. My first time ever going to this salon, the owner was asking me questions about my hair type and the certain hair goals I wanted to reach. But I felt like we wasn’t getting anywhere and she would tell me you shouldn’t put product in your hair, and she wasn’t really educating me on what to put in my hair or anything. I went to her like three or four times and every time I would show up, she would act like she didn’t won’t to do my hair. I had got two french braids before and she act like it was too much to do, when it was a simple hairstyle. Then she charge too much for a simple hairstyle and I just quit going to this place. I didn’t really feel welcome at all and she would tell you what not to put in your hair, but she couldn’t tell you what to put in your hair. I was confused smh. I been to better hair salons than this one and this one was just not for me. Like if you don’t won’t to do certain people’s hair, then what are you a hairstylist or just be honest with them. She just didn’t educate me on hair type at all. I wish this salon the best though!

Alonzo Williams I just got some starter locs done yesterday. Best place in Baytown. Shamila is very educated on hair types and will help you understand your hair and what’s best for it. I HIGHLY recommend.

Warren Gretta (Keeping It Real) I have been using this stylist for over 19 years and she always does a wonderful job on my hair, my daughters hair and grand-daughters hair. She can style all ages and she keeps up with the new styles as well. Her hands are a gift from God and he has blessed her to do miracles with your natural hair..she is an excellent stylist. You would be very please with her work. FYI she will always be honest with you concerning your hair!
