Mike S Im not even Catholic, but this place has a huge range of double majors, excellent scholarships for those with B or higher grade averages, very quiet and well kept dorms, and is generally a solid yet laid back place. Liked it enough to go through grad school there and ended up liking Philosophy despite my tech major, worth it.

Isabella I went here for 5 years, started as a freshmen & finished nursing school in 2022. I really enjoyed my time at the university. You do have to take 3 philosophy & 3 theology courses as core courses, but I really didn’t mind it because the professors are so knowledgeable. All of the professors at St. Thomas are experts in their fields, they have dedicated their lives to these subjects. I’m not sure where else I would find all of these professors who are experts in contemporary philosophy, Irish studies, music, art, etc etc. The range of courses that they offer is so unique! The nursing school is very prestigious and the classes are extremely difficult at times. The program is much longer than a lot of these new 1 year programs that have come out. But I believe that this program produces more well-rounded, holistic, and caring nurses. The support is there from the nursing school staff, Geny Moreno is an amazing advisor and will support you every step of the way. Nakisha Paul will also do the same, working to get good clinical spots in the medical center which is close by. The campus is small and beautiful, with the classes symbolically situated between the library and the church. It’s definitely small and not a party school, so if that’s what you’re looking for I wouldn’t go here. I would say that was the largest negative to me about this school, I sometimes feel like I missed out on the “college experience”. The smallness of it makes for very small classes sizes and collaboration between the students and professors. I would also say that there’s a lot of room for growth because the school is very receptive to student’s ideas. If you want to start a club or team, throw an event, do a side lab research project, the school would probably easily support you. I will also say, this school is very expensive. They offer really good scholarships and financial aid, which is how I afforded to go here. They also offer great benefits to military.

Priscilla T A huge plate for students ! And a variety of food choices for all. I go here when I’m on my lunch breaks, and also when events occur! There a plenty of places to sit and hang with your friends and family or by yourself as you choose!

Surg1 I visited UH and began here specifically for their Cougar Preview, and overall I had a great experience being there for the first time, the staff were friendly and the environment was chill, with plenty of food choices and activities, as well as their own campus store. I have high hopes that I could try to get enrolled after graduation.

Gonzalez Oscar (osarbego) My son needed minor surgery and I was referred to UTHealth Houston. Dr. Danielle Sobol along with her assistants did a phenomenal job and my son recovered successfully after surgery. Dr. Danielle Sobol with her charisma and joy made my son feel relaxed before and during surgery, to be honest I had never seen such dedication in a doctor to his patient before. I also want to say that at that time we did not have medical insurance and I was surprised by what they charged me for the surgery they did on my son, very affordable because we did not have medical coverage.

Chanukya Pratap Wish I could give you ZERO stars. DO NOT VISIT Dr. Cash. They sent me a bill for a test that was never performed and when I called to dispute they simply said the doctor’s office will charge although the test was not performed since the Doctor has a note saying “the test was cancelled” This is ridiculous on the Doctor Cash’s part. When I called the UT health system to get more details on why they charged me for a service that was never provided, they said that’s how they operate. And they sent it to collections while I requested them to look into the incorrect billing charge. They never responded to my request. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DR. Cash as they are sneaky in charging patients for no professional services. Shame on you UT Health System to adopt this business style.

Texas Huntress As you can see from so many terrible reviews on here, this is the worst place on earth. They are only about making money and have zero concern for their patients or any compassion for the families of their patients and what they are going through. They will not return phone calls & if You try to go there to get help, they will threaten you and harass you. they seriously traumatized me today when I tried to go there to get help after no one would call me back for three weeks regarding the care of a family member. Do not ever go to any medical professional under this group and please read all the negative reviews here. Highly corrupt.

Murphy L Rude in the most disgusting way. The head of this department, Ms. Virginia has a nasty, dismissive attitude she talks to you like youre unworthy and youre complete garbage and this is over the phone without ever having met you to even be able to judge you as someone she should be talking to like trash. Prospective students calling trying to make a plan to better their lives should proceed with caution because the person in charge of this location seems to lack respect and decency towards strangers. If youre immune to being spoken to in an abusive manner that makes you feel less than, then you may do well dealing with this rude women, but if your family raised you to give respect and seek respect you will be highly offended after dealing with this staff. Its disgusting and disappointing that an educator doesnt have the good sense to know not to talk to students like theyre worthless idiots. My God, one discussion turned into such a disheartening and disturbing experience. Run, find another school or prepare to be offended and angry at how you are treated

Elizabeth Ciocco Ms. Brown in admissions was phenomenal. She helped me re-enroll as a returning student. She was thorough, kind, patient and showed genuine interest in helping me with my particular needs. She encoruaged me to try logging in on the computers they had there to ensure she addressed all my enrollment needs. She even informed me of my tuition costs and payment plan options. In my opinion, she went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. I dont even intend on attending this campus, but she helped me nonetheless! The front desk, Mike, was also kind, as well as the people I met in the computer lab. Everyone was so helpful.

Bonbon ti The area is kinda dangerous, but over all its cheap which I love a lot the problem I have is sometimes the staff can be rude, especially over the phone for admission or etc, and yes Im not afraid to say it they were all black women over the phone. They really dont explain right and dont sound like they want to help you. Which is embarrassing cause I recommended my friend to come here and he got a very rude mean person over the phone and was just having a hard time, so he just went to lone star. Same happened to another friend. Same goes with one of the staff from the library. But over all good college!!!!! Just scary when you encounter rude staff.

Judit Castillo Overall a decent college for a good price. The environment around isnt the greatest but that doesnt justify how good the school is. Nice staff and a quite library. One thing is always check your schedule, they tend to add extra classes for extra credits, most classes arent needed for the career youre trying to get into, I had to do the same for myself. Talk to your counselor.

Evelyn Watson My professor is Auguste Nioupin.I am currently attending Biology 2101 Lab AP. I am attending the Tuesday and Thursday classes. I have ADHD and Huntington Chorea Disease, I communicate my disability with every professor at the very beginning of class. I disclosed this to my teacher and he stated that as long as it was on file with the HCC Disability Office that he would honor it.  However, on February 5th it was updated with the proper department and I sent an email over to him with the updated accommodations. He has never responded to any of our class emails. He has changed our test twice, the third time will be February 25th. That would include 15 chapters for one of our very first exams. I come to class early to study for my test because my grades are important to me. He operates in the manner he wants with our homework, no communication or integrity. He is supposed to honor extra test time with Lab, Quizzes and exams. He has not. He updated the aLab portion to 70 percent of our grade and 98 percent of our test are  composed of diagrams, but with a 30 minute completion timeframe. Cynthia from Disability Services sent him a message and the only thing he adhered to was giving me another attempt on the lab. The entire class is falling behind because of his test requirements , we spoke with him in person because he doesn’t respond to emails he said he would go in and add extra test times for us all, but he didn’t keep his word. Every test that he rescheduled he communicates through canvas 20 minutes before class while we are all studying. I feel unseen, devalued and as if I don’t have a voice. I am trying my best not to sue. I have been through so much just in one semester alone. My resolution is to get the extra time I need, drop from the class without a penalty for my financial aid for doing so, he should be held accountable for not honoring someone with a disability and changing our curriculum at his leisure. My teacher said that my percentage has to be a certain amount. I am over an 80 percent and I have not missed any assignments. I have also spoken with the chair in Biology Mr. Opara. He just takes up for the teacher.

Arren Burkhardt Worst customer service I have ever in my life experienced. Since day one they have been un-knowledgeable, rude, self righteous, and not willing to help in any way. This is my first year attending college and it has been hell to say the least. I was told I had to test, and then after taking the placement tests was told I didnt have to, so I wasted time and money away from work. Was told that the office stayed open for financial aide and the website even displayed it as such, only to drive all the way out there and find out it was closed. Ive had multiple reps in all aspects tell me one thing only to have another rep tell me another. I was told I was awarded grant money, only to have it lowered two weeks before school started, and my classes dropped when they told me I just had to attend and it would pull from my grant once I was shown as present... Seriously what is wrong with this staff? Obviously they only want to receive an easy paycheck. Let me also be clear and state that I did everything proactively and actively followed up to make sure everything was in order in a very polite manner only to have everything fall apart because of their poor guidance right before I have to attend class. If they didnt offer a fashion design program or if i had better options I would NOT have chosen this school. They dont even deserve the one star i am obligated to offer for this review. All staff needs to be reevaluated and find people who want to actually help kids go to college. Ive had to struggle for 7 years just to get here and I wont let this college ruin my progress. I filed a formal complain with the Board of Education, lets hope they investigate and find this school to be what it is. A joke. Thanks for nothing.

Omolade Adebayo This school isn’t the one!!!! I submitted the paper for wrong class regarding my essay assignment and was told I plagiarized the essay. I had taken the class previously mind you and saved both the new and old essay under the same title. Although I later submitted the right (new) paper as quickly as I can in less than 24hrs, I was told by my professor that the decision was now out of her hands, then later was told by the dean that I had a course failure!! I begged them to consider that it was not done on purpose! It was a mistake!!! But no they were all about the money and didn’t not care at all IF YOU LOVE YOURSELF AND MENTAL HEALTH PLEASE DON’T GO TO THIS SCHOOL!!! ITS A SCAM!!! Save yourself the stress and leave while you can !!!!

Kiara Monique Where to begin… to sum it up this isn’t the place to go for schooling it’s not only incredibly expensive but academically this place is a headache and a nightmare. It seems to be way more stressful than other programs and the teachers…. Ive never came across such condescending and egotistical teachers in all of my schooling. I truly do not feel anyone from advising and to anyone in administration is there for your success as a nursing student. The lack of empathy is astounding and disappointing as that’s what nursing is about. The grading scale is weird… every negative review is completely true. For your sanity and wallet attend another school.

I was the oldest in her Spanish II class (I was 29 and everyone else was 18-25) and she said and I quote “because you haven’t taken a Spanish class in two years and given your age I seriously doubt that you’ll even do well in this class.” What kind of professor would say that to ANY student? I was also the ONLY African American student in the class too.

Too many companies asked me about AIU, and it seems an Unknown university, and also it does not have a great reputation compared to others famous universities, and its also extremely expensive because they said it is a private university. The Programs are limited, narrow and pricey of each class that you will be taken. I have found too many obstacles and difficulties to find a career after I got my Bachelor Degree on IT because no one knows it, and also it does have a lot of weakness on Careers Department which is normally responsible to help a senior students connecting with a big companies in Houston. Personally, I’m advising new students to get something else because it will be just wasting time and moneyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy $$$$$$$.

Chris Jones from a student- Very good school; if you know what you want to do. The instructors teach you the knowledge and stress the importance of situational awareness. It is worth the money if you have the desire to learn and willingness to apply what you learn. This school has accredited programs and the financial aid advisers are great. Motivation is a key element in success.

The professors never helped me in their class when I came to them and asked for assistance to pass their class. Professor Darren would get me in front of the class and he knew I didnt understand the information and embarrass me. The interior of the building is filled with all kinds of contemporary nuggets! Its a personal space, no crowds, amble room to breathe & visually explore.

Jon L Albee Before you visit here, you must consider this important point: While this site IS a museum to a certain extent, it is first and foremost a place of learning. This is an art school, populated with students, teachers and professors whos first occupation is not customer service. Theyre here NOT primarily to serve the public as much as to serve the University. If you keep that in perspective you may enjoy your visit, but if youre going to nit-pick the service quality, or if you come here with a chip on your shoulder about the students, faculty and staff, there are better places in Houston to see. An art school where the community is intentionally allowed to experiment and nurture developing skills may not be for you. The things on display here are a nice combination of student work, faculty work, and exhibits from outside. The building itself is wonderful. If youre on campus, take some time to explore some of the outdoor art pieces that are scattered around.

Abraham M Im not sure why people are raving about this place. The staff and students are rude as can be. I have been here twice and never going back. Keep your attitude The art is mediocre at best. There are plenty of great museums in Houston, including a lot of niche and cultural ones The Moody family trust needs to fire the arrogant professors. The curator needs to go to the museum of modern and contemporary arts and learn The lady professor from the earth exhibit needs to learn that calling people early birds is rude as 15 minutes before opening is not outrageous. Your staff should have been ready before that. Opening on time is fine, but some of us come long distances. We were just sitting at tables outside Rice students have rarely contributed to anything spectacular, so please take a humble pill Texas is a welcome state, not rude
