That’s not the employees’ choice, they’re simply following instructions from higher ups . They also typically don’t take formal wear, and staff will tell you that when you turn in your clothes. Walking in with dress clothes and expecting a payout will only lead to disappointment, and complaining to the staff won’t change that, Mr. or Mrs. Karen. Plenty of people claim their clothes are “practically brand new,” yet when staff checks, they find stains on the inside or other areas. Who’s going to buy that? If your items don’t meet the store’s standards, it’s not personal it’s policy. Retail workers already deal with enough nonsense on the job. Show them the same respect you expect in return. Before you snap at an employee, ask yourself, how would you feel in their shoes? If this hurts your feelings, take it as a reality check.. the whole world doesn’t revolve around you :)

5 /5 92chevycamaro: Finally took a bag of clothes I never wear to Plato’s Closet and got some cash for it. Super easy process and the staff was cool. If you’ve got stuff just sitting in your closet, definitely worth bringing it in.

2 /5 write like a magician: Bad customer service. Stop taking clothes at certain times but fail to post it although I had only 3 items. Rude management but I don’t blame the stores anymore for not training staff or attempting to improve their shoppers satisfaction score. please fire the regional Manager or corporate culture.Turned away a black suit coat plus size dry cleaned. Why? Those are in high demand given they’re important for seeking a job.

1 /5 Dani Baird: Went to return a dress I hadnt even worn once receipt in hand, and they tell me they only accept returns within 7 days with receipt AND tag still attached. Its like they make it impossible to be able to bring anything back, and all I wanted was store credit to get something that fit right instead. Super scammy if you ask me, platos closet is turning into every other overpriced thrift shop. Selling shein clothes for more than market value. Will not be back.
