1 /5 Abigail Bandali: Came to return a comforter. It was bought at HomeGoods. I lost the receipt and the HomeGoods that I bought it at was a little bit far from my home. I called them. They said I could return it to any Marshalls TJ Maxx or HomeGoods without the receipt since they were sister companies. That was from the manager. Came here to Marshalls they would not take it back. Apparently, this location has its own set of rules. Called The manager of HomeGoods back to explain they would not take it. I was trying to avoid driving so far to HomeGoods as I just stopped at this one I saw off the freeway. The manager told me I absolutely could and to come back and try it again. After explaining to them, the manager of HomeGoods says that I can in fact return it after my first attempt and they denied because when they unload their truck, they get stuff from Marshalls all the time so I came back to Marshalls after speaking with a couple people they agreed to give me an exception this one time After all that I am then told I can’t get a refund. I have to take a store credit. . I don’t know why this Store chooses to have its own set of rules, but you in fact CANNOT NOT return anything here if it’s not bought at Marshalls, even though the policy says it can be returned at any of the three stores. Bit of a waste of time… It would be nice if all of the stores were on the same page. 2 trips and 3 phone calls and still have the item because I keep getting wrong information. anyway… again, just a waste of time.
