2 /5 Madiha Yazdani: I have visited the Chrome store in Lubbock three times recently, and unfortunately, all three visits resulted in a poor experience.
The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because the inventory itself is genuinely nice and they carry unique items. However, the quality control and overall value seem very low.
I purchased a set of wine glasses costing around $400. When I opened the package at home, one of the glasses was chipped right out of the box. For that price, the item should be flawless. I had to waste my time and effort by sending my nanny back to the store to exchange it.
Just last week, I bought a nutcracker music box for my five-year-old daughter. The item was clearly damaged; the Mouse King and Clara were both broken. It was heartbreaking to see her crying and asking why we couldnt glue it back together. It was awful to have to take a gift away from a child because it was broken merchandise.
When returning the music box, the staffs attitude was also disappointing. They acted like they were doing me a huge favor by processing the return to my credit card instead of issuing store credit for the broken item. However, I will say that the sales associate did apologize several times for the broken item. Yet another incident where my time was wasted having to return to the store.
Considering the high price point of their items, the quality control and customer service are simply unacceptable. I would strongly suggest people look at their website to see what they offer, but purchase the items cheaper elsewhere instead of supporting this store directly. I will not be shopping here again.
