5 /5 Josey Johnson III: Cavenders has been my go-to in Beaumont for most of my western wear. The regulars I work with —Cecil, Dakota, Chante, Shellie, JoAnn, and Keagan —always care for me.
The revamped hat bar looks really nice. It gives that side of the store a friendly, open, and lighter feeling.
The large hat display looks impressive. In my opinion, though, the mirror needs to be returned opposite the bar. Is it convenient for me as a customer to quickly try on my hat to see if the technicians skill is delivering what I want to see.
Then there are the hat bands. They are stuck in a crevice between hat shelves, waiting to be discovered. Remove the vehicle hat holders and put the bands next to the hats. Its easier to upsell to a nicer band with them in sight. Just my thoughts on these things.
Thank you to Shellie for her talented shaping skills today! It was an experience watching you shape, instruct, and mentor the others as you worked on my hats.
Update:
The hat bands display has been moved to a more visible location, and a mirror is on the counter to inspect your hat as its being created. IMHO, it needs to be a little larger, but its a good start. There are supposed to be two more placed on the counter, one in the center and one on the right side. Although I liked the view of the mirror on the hat wall for inspection, these three mirrors, or at least two, will allow you to inspect your hat on your head during the creation.
