5 /5 Dan Mark: Great bridge to visit when in Waco. So much history in one single place. One can only imagine how it was crossing the river before the bridge was build. Today the bridge is well maintained and easy to walk. There are great views to the west and east, and you can walk the nearby parks along both sides of the river. We walked it a Saturday near lunch. Not to many people. And when you walk it from south to north you end up at a farmer’s market.
5 /5 HeadBangerHomestead (lola): It was such a beautiful walk and view we really enjoyed just looking out at the water. Be careful by the bathroom their were alot of homeless people they didnt bother us but be careful.
5 /5 william jones: We really enjoyed spending time at the suspension bridge. Its handicap accessible. The bronze statues were so real looking. They almost take you back in time. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting this place.
5 /5 Forsythe Scott (Forssas personal account): This is quite probably the first major suspension bridge in Texas, and a site of incredible historical significance!
5 /5 Jeff Galbraith: Just happened to be driving by and saw all the steer. Very informative boards around the area to read. Great views from the bridge as well.

Vivian Bermudez: This is a great place to see wildflowers, birds and walk on the trails while admiring nature. Perfect spot to relax and do nature photography. There is a playground nearby so it’s a great place to visit with little kids and the whole family. Parking is available nearby as well as public restrooms.
    Darwin The Gorilla - Waco
    Darwin The Gorilla
Josh: We loved stopping by to find Darwin in star-spangled July 4th finery. Will definitely stop by again. Any major holidays are worth a trip. Darwin is under a tree, just off the road, on a dirt circle with a paved path leading to it. Our thanks to the people who cloth and feed big D.

Molly & Jaren Garcia: Enjoyed walking the grounds and checking out the stores. Definitely gives you the southern charm of Texas and enjoyed the outdoor areas to bring the community together. Plenty of seating all around the property. The ENTIRE property closes at 6pm. Not just the shops. POP’s lemonade was delicious. The sweet tea tastes like sweetened sun iced tea.

Martin Museum of Art - Waco
    Martin Museum of Art
Josh: This art museum is a lively little space with several rambling rooms. When I visited the galleries were divided into two separate exhibits and an art studio room geared toward kids. The gallery shares a building with the art, art history, and theater departments, along with a large performance hall. It was a bit difficult to find visitor parking close enough for a hundred degree day, though the science museum is just across the main street.
