Neartown Church - Houston
Neartown Church
Keelan Cook: Full disclosure: Im a member of this church. But, that means I can provide more than just a review of a Sunday service. I know the leadership and a great deal of the community here, and I can say its an excellent church. My family has served here for several years now, and we have grown to love these people. The church strikes a great balance of grace and truth, is clear in its message, and firmly rooted in the Bible. Yet, they are intensely people-focused. They love on visitors and work hard to incorporate new people. Its ironic, but in a city as big as Houston its often so hard to find real, authentic community, a place of belonging. Neartown does a good job of fostering that kind of connection with others, centered in Christ. If youve just moved into the area and are looking for a solid church, firmly rooted, and also a fun community, you should give this one a try. Or, if you dont consider yourself a Christian, but youre looking for something that offers hope, Neartown is a great place to start that journey.

KC Mitch: Amazed at the Christmas tree service. We were in town to visit family and we’re absolutely WOWed. The time they put into the service was amazing. What a great church also. Friendly people and the pastor gets everyone involved. We will be back when we come back into town. Thank you all.
St. Pius V Catholic Church - Pasadena
DLC: The priests and the masses are wonderful! It’s a loving community that cares about its parishioners and students. The PROBLEM is the lector woman who stands at the back of the church chastising those who leave before father has finished walking down the entire aisle. She calls it respect to wait. I say respect the altar and the pulpit and save the very lengthy announcements for the bulletin or right before mass begins. Why ruin my beautiful communion with Christ because you assume I am disrespectful. You have no idea how much I respect the priests and show it through substantial donations, prayer for them and service to the church Petty actions like this is where the church starts to loose people.

La Iglesia Del Pueblo - Pasadena
Jolenne Solano: Ive been going since May 2024 and I think I found my people, they treat you like family and Pastor Ruben is great, his teachings in the word of God are very detailed and lets you take notes to study later. He makes sure you understand the topic of the day.

Liz: The priest made inappropriate passive aggressive comments about me at my mothers funeral because I did not feel up to speaking at the eulogy. My mother had just died and I have not slept in days. I did not need or want my pain out on display. He chose to be judgemental in the hour that I needed kindness. Do better.
Clearpoint Church - Pasadena
Clearpoint Church
Adrian DeLaFuente-King: I must say that for a while I searched for a church where the pastor wasnt yelling at us, where I was accepted, where no politics were discussed, and where you can come amd feel welcomed. This is it. The pastor and the people are very welcoming. You can actually feel the holy ghost moving in this church. They have so many activities for which I like. They really accept you. Music is always good, and the preaching right on target. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend this Clearpoint Church. Im so looking forward to April 13th. Where they welcome anyone you bring or who comes in and will treat them to a BBQ and Easter egg hunt. Sounds exciting and I cant wait.
