1 /5 Kellen Reilly McFarland: I’m not sure why writing bad reviews on Google is the only effective way to medically advocate for myself here. You would think you’d be able to simply make an appointment and be seen if you’ve been going to this place for over 2 years. Yet somehow, 2 years is not enough time to establish stable, consistent care.
Cancelling one appointment and pushing it back a little bit would be fine. However my appointment kept getting pushed back and I was never notified. Why my appointment would be pushed back when I requested an earlier one, I’ll probably never know. The people who took my information and “will get back to me soon” are just as incompetent and lazy as the person who hung up on me when I was calling to ask why my appointment was pushed back another month with no notification. No explanation, no response, no apology. It’s been two weeks since my information was taken. Absolutely ridiculous
Edit: it’s been well over two weeks. I’ve tried emailing several times asking why no one has contacted me yet. Still no response.
Edit #2: it’s been three weeks now and I just received an email stating “we don’t know what happened.” I’m not surprised in the slightest that UT Health was quick to cancel my appointments and treat me like garbage when I tried to call to ask what happened, yet when a complaint is brought to their attention it takes at least three weeks for a single email. There’s no reason for this. Do better UT Health.
Edit #3: I was called by the office to cancel another appointment. Not to discuss why my appointments keep getting cancelled or why I was never notified. It’s been four weeks since I was told “someone will call me shortly” about the godawful way I continue to be treated by UT Health. I told the person on the phone to not cancel my appointment several times until someone discusses this issue with me but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was cancelled anyway.
