3 /5 Coral Cordova: I recently visited Ulta and had a mix of interactions that left me with some mixed feelings. To start on a positive note, I want to highlight the excellent service I received when my husband called in about our order. The staff was very kind and accommodating, ensuring that my order was filled in a timely manner. This level of customer service was a fantastic start to my shopping experience.
However, once I stepped into the store, my experience took a different turn. While I was greeted upon entry, I found that no one offered assistance as I browsed. Compared to my always wonderful experiences at Sephora, where the staff is consistently proactive in helping customers find what they need, I felt a bit overlooked during my time at Ulta. In my previous visits to Sephora, I’ve always found the staff to be not only welcoming but also genuinely eager to provide recommendations and answer questions, significantly enhancing the overall shopping experience.
Furthermore, I noticed the manager on duty, who I believe is from the Burleson location. While she appeared friendly, I couldn’t shake the feeling that some of her remarks were somewhat petty, which detracted from the stores overall atmosphere. It was particularly disappointing to see that the only time she seemed to go above and beyond was when the district manager was present, making the service feel a bit disingenuous.
Overall, while my experience at Ulta had a promising start with kind initial service, it fell short in terms of in-store engagement and support. I appreciate the help I received at the beginning, but I truly wish the same level of attentive service I always enjoy at Sephora was present throughout my entire visit. I hope to see improvements on this area during future visits.
