06-2025 The Purple Door in Hight rate 14 location for tourist in Denton, TX, USACarl Young, Sr. Park - Denton Love Helianthus: We visited this park and splashpad last year and this year. Last year there was only 1 homeless guy in the park, he stayed in the restroom. We visited again yesterday (August 30, 2024), the splashpad definitely improved, more fun for the kids as well as the number of homeless people in the park increased too. I would have rated this 5 stars but because of the homeless people lurking and made us feel unsafe and uncomfortable. 1 of them was friendly and nice but the other two were like high and drunk.
Dragon Park - Lewisville violetab brownstead: My granddaughters rated it a 5 but i rated it a 4 only because there is no bathroom and we had to cut our play time short. This park is so magical, creativity expands your child’s imagination and can keep the child playing endlessly. I like how the dragon splits in 2 areas. It truly is so worth the stop…bring the kids
Lake Park - Lewisville Pratichha W: It is wonderful place to take kids during weekend. My son loves being here and swimming. It is great place to be in the weekend. It is one of the best example of waterfront planning. This lake is the great way to beat the hot weather of Texas during summer. I think everyone should visit here for enjoyment. There are lots of picnic spot to have fun with family and friends.
LLELA Nature Preserve - Lewisville T L: Pretty good overall. Really nice running/hiking/walking trails. The Riverside walks are great. While there are some pretty spots the primary downside is somewhat unavoidable, the fact that there are massive power lines running all through the park, makes it hard to really feel like a nature preserve. But it is what it is; I’ll still come back because it’s nice to get into nature close to the city.
Train Park - Lewisville earthzen: Definitely one of my favorite playgrounds, clean and plenty of shade for those sunny summers.
Rheudasil Park - Flower Mound Alberto Martinez: Rheudasil Park is a great destination for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing day outdoors, especially if you love fishing. The park features a well-maintained pond stocked with fish, providing a pleasant and serene environment for anglers of all skill levels. Beyond fishing, the park offers open green spaces, walking paths, and shaded areas, making it an ideal spot for families or individuals seeking some peace and quiet. It’s a great place to unwind, connect with nature, and enjoy a laid-back atmosphere. Whether you’re casting a line or simply taking in the scenic views, Rheudasil Park doesn’t disappoint.
