Kyra Pangelinan: I would give 0 if I could!! Word of advice for anyone who gets their hair braided : DO NOT use “ Authentic African hair braiding “ in lufkin located at 1001 Lee avenue. The owner did braids on my hair which I let her know were for my birthday a present from my husband. She told me she could do it ( my hair is growing out but still feasible to braid) . No more than 3 days after having it done I start losing several braids in the back. I called her and let her know she said that I can call and tell her when I can come have her fix them. ( I live almost an hour from her shop). I called this past Thursday and scheduled for this morning at 8:30 am. I get there and she’s not there I then call her at 8:36 am and she tells me she’s in Houston and she’s tired to come back tomorrow. I tell her I can not drive up here again and would like a partial refund. She then tells me she’s not giving any money back and I should know how my hair is that it’s my own fault for getting it braided. I tell her she’s being disrespectful and has me drive an hour away to turn right back around after she told me she could do my hair knowing she couldn’t make it last. These braids are meant to last 6-8 weeks. She then calls and leaves me a voicemail saying before I tell google take all my hair out and show them my hair demeaning me. Upset isn’t even the word. Warning all others to NOT use this shop. On top of this the parting is all uneven some are squares and some circles. Disappointed in this whole experience and mainly the customer service. Please don’t waste your money there you will be disappointed. She also gave someone the same braids as me booking their appointment for $30 less than me. A very crooked person to say the least. And runs the business under 2 phone numbers the other is listed on google as Kafui hair braiding. When you call one number she tells one price and then if you call the other she says higher so you’ll still go with her thinking she’s cheaper. She did this to a young person on the phone while doing my hair. Extremely unclean and was eating while performing my service. Those braids should have taken 6-8 hours and they took 10 hours because she was constantly on her phone talking to people. No regard for customers time.
Mosetta Page: Very good work. On line check in saves me from waiting in the lobby. They record the specifics of my haircut so I dont have to explain it every time. So far, it has not mattered which stylist, my hair is just how I want it to look.
Alexa Berges: The first time i came to this location i did not like it and the lady at the front counter was very rude. HOWEVER, today I went back and McKenzie made me want to delete and redo my review. She was so kind and helpful. I greatly appreciated her help. Will be going back now
Sabrina Dosie: DIAMOND THE COSMETOLOGIST PROVIDED ME WITH HER TRAVEL SEVICES WHICH WAS THE BEST OPTION FOR ME SINCE MY SCHEDULE IS SO BUSY! A1 CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SATISFACTION. LATE APPOINTMENT WAS PERFECT!!
