5 /5 Mr. No Tengo Dinero: Twas a nice park in the area! We decided to come up here on the weekend. The weather was nice and the environment was also nice! There was a place where you can get your boat down to the water and many people were on the boat doing finishing and all kind of water activities! We walked around the small island and did some sunbathing! The entrance costed us $10 so be aware of that! Other than that it was a good visit!

5 /5 Gypsy Rose: 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It was perfect for us and our pups first time at an actual beach area. Sea shells and beautiful rocks are easy finds! Quiet (even when it said busy time of day) ! Not any garbage, and we walked plenty, I only saw one piece of broken glass and, of course, picked it up. Absolutely will be one of my go-to spots.

1 /5 m brooks: Swim park is DISGUSTINGLY TRASHED!! Bathroom are trash and always dirty they are never clean. The floor is always full of toilet paper and needs to be swept daily barbecue grills are trashed people rake out used coals onto the ground literally right there by the grills it’s piling up. The grills are never cleaned. Trash is always on the ground by the shoreline, mostly beer, cans and beer bottles. Nobody cleans up after their dogsthe park Rangers in the army core of engineer workers never cleaned the area The the two volunteers that live there only concerned about if you pay your five dollars, but they don’t approach everybody. It’s who they decide to check. Please go elsewhere for your health and safety.

Lions Club Park - Killeen

Angie Woodward: This is such a beautiful area that has a 1 mile course and includes an area for outdoor exercise, which can be managed via an app. It is part of Killeen Parks and Recreational Department. They keep it very well maintained and stocked with doggie supplies. It is well lit for those of us who walk at 6AM There are basketball courts, playground, swimming, covered picnic areas, benches at every other post, and softball fields with outdoor potty. Bring your families and enjoy the outdoors any given weekend. My Bailey has a great time here.

Temple Railroad & Heritage Museum - Temple

James Marshall: Very nice museum with plenty of railroad artifacts inside. You can go on, in, and through some actual trains, caboose, and passenger cars. My family enjoyed it. Its next to a busy train yard to watch them slowly go by.

Czech Heritage Museum and Genealogy Center - Temple

Stacy Luebbe: This museum is beautiful with beautiful items. I truly enjoyed the items. The gentleman who was going to give us a tour was very nice and passionate about this museum which is a big plus....however very talkative.. just to get through the front part of the museum which should have taken 10 to 15 mins at most took almost 30 minutes. I kind of was bored after all these dates and facts. 2 people entered the museum after we started so we had to wait for him to catch them up and go through everything he just told us. Well then we were gonna go to the next part and watch a 9 minute video but the tour guide and the 2 other people got to talking and wouldnt stop. My mom and I walked around the entire museum. 30 to 45 minutes later he came and found us at the end of the museum and ushered us back to watch the video. We left after that. Kind of a waste to go back through the museum again. My guess is the complete tour takes 2 to 3 hrs so make sure you make enough time to visit

Whistle Stop Park - Temple

Raven Aguilar: We love this park!! Its a great place for kiddos to run out all their energy and have fun while doing it. What makes it a pretty cool park is getting to see all the trains ride by and the conductors waving to the children. Its all enclosed by a fence and theres only one way in and one way out. Theres also a separate area for smaller children to play and its very accommodating for parents who have littles that vary in age.

Liz Rediske: What an amazing place. A true blast from the past and a great testimony to Mr. Wilson. We got a lot of good info from Fernando who let us in and we spent about 30 minutes enjoying this house. Not open 24 hours - call or email a week in advance for entry. Free to enter.

Hindu Temple of Central Texas - Temple

praveenpno: Visited the temple on a weekend and had a wonderful experience. It’s a very divine and peaceful place, perfect for anyone looking to spend some tranquil moments. The atmosphere is serene, and the temple is well-maintained. They also have a small canteen with delicious food at a very reasonable price. They also have a plenty of parking space. The location is convenient, just a 10-minute drive from Buc-ee’s gas station, making it a great stop on the way from Austin to Dallas. Highly recommend visiting!

West Temple Community Park - Temple

Faith Y.: It is a great picnic area to host kids birthday parties and get-togethers especially if you have kids. It gives kids to stay entertained for a couple of hours when there is a water splash pad right next to the playground. Public restrooms are there as well if you need them, it feels like pretty safe since there is a police department and a fire department right next to the park.
