Big Mushroom Pavilion
matt real: Quirky little photo opportunity in the area. It looks exactly like youd expect it to. Good place to take break if youre walking in the area.
Espada Aqueduct - San Antonio
Espada Aqueduct
Semra G.: Only couple of miles away from the church. Easy drive. Plenty of parking space.
San Antonio Bat Colony - San Antonio
Richie: Very nice place to see bats in San Antonio! There were probably close to 2,000 bats when we were there. It is a nice walk and there is free 2 hour parking just down the street. Dont forget to check out The Grotto while you are in the area.
Cathedral Rock Park - San Antonio
Cathedral Rock Park
Reuben Reyes: This park has play scapes, picnic tables, covered pavilion and trails. The trails are a maze of both paved and rough hiking trails. The elevation of the park changes and can be a challenge if you are hiking and are not in shape. If you are into geology the park has a fault that is clearly visible. The trails are nicely maintained and the park is full of hidden natural surprises. I saw lizards, squirrels, birds, and deer. Great place for kids and/or adults.
Neon Drive ( Mural) - San Antonio
Iron Rattler - San Antonio
Iron Rattler
Eric Blazek: One of the very first RMC hybrid coaster creations is still one of the best! The original Rattler wooden roller coaster was rough and suffered from bad pacing, but the revamped Iron Rattler has much more punch (including a 179ft drop at 81 degrees, and a zero-G roll!) The trains look awesome with the snakehead on the front but be warned, operators will securely fasten those lap bars which can be uncomfortable. Rides at night are highly recommended, and the front row gives an epic view.
San Antonio Riverwalk Cruise - San Antonio
San Antonio Riverwalk Cruise
T Matt: We were in Austin for a long weekend and made the easy drive to enjoy sightseeing in San Antonio. Found the Riverwalk Cruise when researching The Alamo. This site recommended parking in mall garage and we found the boat stop easily inside the mall area. There is another location along the route where you can cruise as well. We had no wait to board and our guide was funny and informative.
Blue Star Arts Complex - San Antonio
Blue Star Arts Complex
Letslie Molina: There is always fun stuff happening. Almost everyday theres a different event of music, poetry, art, vendors, and dance. Make sure to check out their social media for special events. Every first Friday of the month this is the location to go to enjoy art vendors, a big crowd and live music.
River City Run - San Antonio
River City Run
Brian Alves: We started out at a fast pace on the tour, which was awesome for an early morning run. However, the lead tour guide Tina, did a great job of adjusting her pace to fit the pace of the runners in our group. We stopped a good amount at some beautiful sites throughout San Antonio that gave us time to rest. I had been to the cities several times but didnt realize how historical it was. Also, the other tour guide Tommy was able to relate personal experiences as he grew up in San Antonio. He also took some great action shots of our run. All in all it is a great value. You get an awesome t-shirt, water bottle and active tour through the city! They also have great recommendations for things to do and the local spots to grab drinks/delicious food.
Rositas Bridge - San Antonio
Rositas Bridge
Franklin Martinez: I love how incredible Rositas Bridge is next to the Arneson River Theater in this part of San Antonio, Texas.
