06-2025 San Antonio River Walk in Hight rate 15 location for tourist in San Antonio, TX, USA (part 2)Sisters Grimm Ghost Tours & Oddities Parlor - San Antonio Dominique Moore: I went on the haunted bus tour with my mom and we had lots of fun! We went on the 8 pm tour and our tour guide Sean was an awesome character! Cindy was our bus driver and really funny. The whole experience was great and entertaining. Lots of history in the city of San Antonio! We loved the cemetery tour the most because it was creepy and dark. The Menger hotel was also really cool and drop dead gorgeous. We love antiques and that was this whole hotel!
San Antonio Zoo - San Antonio Memphis Reyne: This Zoo is incredible and definitely one of my favourites by far. The park is well presented, clean and tidy. Its easy to walk around being flat for the most part , its easy to navigate the layout and find the animal exhibits. The animals are clearly on display for great uninterrupted photo opportunities. The areas are themed nicely.
Outside of the park there is a small train ride around the grounds, a short walk to the Japanese Tea Gardens and a Starbucks just opposite the entry.
This is definitely a top 2 if not the best zoo Ive seen so far and is a must visit if youre in San Antonio
La Villita Historic Village - San Antonio The Stork Got Lost: A great stop and must add to your San Antonio itinerary. There are plaques outside each house. Some beautiful shops, a church, and fun little shops!! Right off the river walk with concerts some evenings and forum seating
Ripleys Believe It or Not! - San Antonio Mark Schlafman: This rating is mainly the lackluster 4D movie experience. It was nothing like what you’d expect - dirty glasses, a seat that moved many years ago, very short scenes, and poor image quality on the screen. The staff was great, but they were spray painting inside when we got there about 30-40 minutes after they opened up for the day. We did the two-way “deal” and the other was the illusions, which was good and we did enjoy it. It’s not bad if you’re looking for a quick 45 minute distraction from the river walk
Morgans Wonderland - San Antonio Iv Port: I had an incredible experience at Morgan Wonderland attending the preview of -Joy The Caterpillar. The play beautifully showcased the values of inclusion that Morgan stands for.
From the enchanting butterflies performances to the adventurous pirate, every moment was truly amazing. I highly recommend catching this fantastic performance and visiting this amazing park in San Antonio.
The magical fairies that greet you upon arrival truly set the tone for a memorable experience for both children and families.
I cant wait to come back and will definitely be recommending this place to others.
The DoSeum - San Antonio Mollee Noren: We are a very spoiled family when it comes to childrens museums since our original home base one is The Indianapolis Childrens Museum that is regularly rated the best in the US. I think that is vital to understand just how great the Doseum is! We had an amazing time and all 3 of my children from 18 months to 12 had a great time! The outdoor play areas truly blew my outdoorsy child away and my more musical child was so engaged with multiple musical experiences. My third child loved the tech experiences particularly with the robots. Even though it is stroller friendly, I probably wont take one in next time we go when Im in town for my specialist appointment. It stayed parked a majority of the time by choice.
Spanish Governors Palace - San Antonio Wai01: A historical part of the city of San Antonio. It is surprising how well preserved it is after all this time, and on top of that how many different owners and even businesses it has gone through. There have been some modifications made to it, but for the most part they have complemented and kept the mansion close to its original state.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas - Brandon Walsh: We have been to the six flags in Arlington, and my family and I all agree that Fiesta Texas is a lot better. The park is very clean and the staff are all very helpful. We loved all of the rides, and the food was very good. We had pizza, and it was amazing! The Iron Rattler and the Superman ride were both really fun. The Batman ride was rough and tends to slam our heads back. There is a fair amount of kid rides as well. We wish the lines for the kids rides would move a little faster, but it is nice that they take safety unto consideration. We cant wait to go back agian.
LEGOLAND Discovery Center San Antonio - San Antonio Matt Fedorka: Id give it a 3.5 in reality. It was a neat place. The staff were nice and my son was very happy about the free Lego set he received when we entered. The model of San Antonio was fun to check out and see all the little hidden details. Everything was well-themed. I was also surprised it had a couple indoor rides. The first ride, an interactive, trackless dark ride should have been fun, but the audio on the first part of the ride was broken so it was silent. The guns were slow to respond, if they responded at all. If it was all functioning properly it would have been much more fun. There wasnt a ton to do there. The second ride was a themed, basic ride that went in a circle and allowed riders to go up and down. The 4D film was OK although the smell and water effects were happening early. Ultimately the experience was alright. Son had a good time. We will check out the one near where we live.
Brackenridge Park - San Antonio Gonzalez Emanuelle (EmanuelleSpeaks): Brackenridge Park is a true gem, a sanctuary of nature and history nestled in the heart of the city. With its lush greenery, towering trees, and winding trails, it offers a perfect escape for those seeking peace, exercise, or a breath of fresh air. Whether youre out for a leisurely walk, an invigorating run, or a calming moment by the water, this park delivers an unforgettable experience.
The presence of lakes and rivers adds a magical touch, reflecting the sky and surrounding trees in their tranquil waters. Ducks and squirrels roam freely, creating a lively and serene atmosphere. Walking over the beautifully crafted bridges provides stunning views of the landscape, making every step an adventure.
Families will love the well-maintained playgrounds, offering children a fun and safe space to play. The historic architecture throughout the park, including picturesque pavilions available for rent, adds a nostalgic charm, making it a great spot for gatherings and celebrations.
Brackenridge Park is more than just a green space—it’s a place where nature and history come together, where every visit feels special. Whether you’re enjoying a picnic, watching wildlife, or simply admiring the scenic beauty, it’s a destination that never loses its charm. No matter how many times you come, you’ll always find something new to love.
