1 /5 Jonathan Czarsty: My girlfriend was driving from DFW to PHX and had battery issues. I called ahead to let the gentleman at the shop know she was coming in, and described the issues. He basically threw his hands in the air and refused to look at the car, a Mercedes ML350 - the most popular and common model of Mercedes ever produced. He said they can’t work on a Mercedes, which is either a testimony of (lack of) skill or not caring about customers. After my girl got there, the mechanic basically did the same thing and told her to go somewhere else, wouldn’t even hook up a scanner. I’ve worked in shops and grown up working on cars, refusing to even look is just blatantly disrespectful. She took it to O’Reillys and they found out the dealership installed the wrong battery and had her out the door in an hour. If O’Reillys can fix what this shop either couldn’t or wouldn’t, try there first - the part time high school students who work there might know more.
