  • What Clients Are Saying about Rivery Park (on GG)
5 /5 Christopher Ross: Great little park. We went to fish, and saw some, but they just weren’t biting. I feel like it’s over fished. Great area though.
5 /5 RLM: The City and County have done a great job with this public space. Its very convenient for most residents of Georgetown and less than 5 minutes from where I live. There are miles of paved trails along the river. You can hike, bike, run, fish, picnic, and there are playgrounds and even Frisbee golf. It can get fairly crowded on weekend mornings and weekday evenings, but if you are flexible and can pick your times, you will often pretty much have the place to yourself.
5 /5 Bob P: Very nice place to taste a little piece of the outdoors and nature, maybe even throw a few golf discs on the 18 hole course like we did. The disc golf course is not too long and includes plenty of shade along the way. Be sure to wear well fitting shoes to climb the hills and terrain that has plenty of rocks and brush to walk over and navigate, even if you keep all your throws in the fairway.
5 /5 Alex T: Beautiful park. We come here to walk, to exercise or just have a picnic. It is so serene, its like having a relaxation session at a spa. Well taken care of and clean bathrooms. We love coming here at least twice a week.
4 /5 Adrianna Garcia: Park is very nice, but its pretty loud bc its near the highway. Theres nothing wrong with that, and its to be expected. Its just not the atmosphere I was looking for at the moment. If you want peace and quiet, I suggest Cedar Breaks Park. My favorite thing was all of the turtles in the pond!! ❤️

michael salas: Nice little spot to watch the sunset. You can pull right up and park. My only concern was being so close to the road with heavy traffic. But that’s probably just me being extra paranoid.

Mark Smith: Nice park. Great views of the lake. Fishing looked good. Was very windy. Unfortunately doesnt seem to have a beach area. Folks were boating and jet skiing though. Bathrooms were functional but not in the greatest condition.

Andrew J. Karaffa: Good little fishing hole. Right on the trail so you can hike to San Gabriel Park or out to bootys Park. Take water, not a lot of shade on a hot day and water is sparse.

Lebanese Traveler: Old Settlers Park is one of Central Texas’ best-planned recreational spaces—offering ample room, excellent amenities, and something for everyone. Baseball, soccer, cricket, disc golf, and tennis—all well-maintained and tournament-ready. Scenic trails with shaded areas, rest stops, and views of Brushy Creek. Large playgrounds, picnic areas, BBQ stations, and pavilions. Parking is ample but can fill up during peak weekend hours or event days. Early arrival recommended.

Sarah Nshimyumukiza: We had an awesome time here. We drove all the way up from south of Austin and it was worth it for us, truly. I loved how there was ample parent seating WITH SHADE, and so many different sections that even with an active 3 year old boy, there was never a dull moment for him. I didnt get a lot.of pictures this time because we were having too much fun, but I will add more when we go back.. because we will be back!

Soney: Very nice park with lots of trails to walk on. There’s 2 good sized playgrounds for kids, with a lot of climbing options. Lots of seating areas too, with plenty of shade. There is a restroom facility as well just in case you need to relieve yourself. This one has become one of my favorites just to go walk around for a while.
