5 /5 Shane Dodson: As a former ordained minister and raised as a Pastor’s son, I had found myself in a place that my experience with “church” had lost its draw and appeal, and I had become very skeptical of organized religion. For serval years my spiritual walk and life had felt like a ship that could not find a harbor or reach its port. My family had started attending Risen Nation for a couple of years telling us how amazing it was. I had even dropped in and watched some services online, but my skepticism prevented me from stepping out and visiting. Our adult daughter finally asked us to take her while Home from Grad School, at the invite from family. The moment we walked in the door and was greeted by the amazing people of Risen Nation, it was as if the fog had cleared and the ship could once again see the guiding light from the Lighthouse, and this ship was able to make it safely into a loving warm and welcoming harbor. Risen Nation is the real deal! The Pastor and His wife are amazing and incredible people who accept you evening in your hurt pain and brokenness! Actually the more broken you are the more you are loved and accepted. Even a misfit like me has found a place I feel I belong. Risen Nation is the real deal!!
