5 /5 Glenna Tolley: People welcoming. Years ago, when I adopted my foreign born children, the church welcomed them with open arms and they have been a significant part of their life. Now they have welcomed the grandchild with open arms! The blessings box, which provides food to people in the community is always being accessed and the people I speak with are so grateful for the food. We have new things coming up in the future that will be positive for this community and I am looking forward to seeing them come to fruition.

We were looking for a church with a wonderful childrens program that would build a good religious foundation and help with my childs journey of faith! Asburys programs, congregational members, and outstanding spiritual leadership helped to nurture not only my child, but so many others to come to love Jesus. Asbury will make you feel at home. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly! Best of all, the church is accepting to all people and focuses on truly being servants for the community. It you are searching for a church to call home, I highly recommend Asbury UMC!

5 /5 Jackson Jr: I went to see the blessing box but was unable to. I could see it from the parking lot but was unable to check it out. There was a few cars and group of people talking and I assume conducting regular business. I went in the afternoon right around lunch out of curiosity because I was close by and heard about their box. Im familiar with two other locations close by and their set up but wanted to see how this large church did a blessing box. Ill go look again at a better time. I am really excited about the blessing box movement and am suprised at how few the community have. Ok so 5 stars just for the blessing box! Great job church! Theres a much smaller church on Lilly in Pasadena that keeps a bread blessing box but thats all Im aware of. I hope other churches join in this simple and easy way to help others quickly when other services may not be available. Id like to write my letter to the church now. Church of Asbury United Methodist, it is true you are followers of Jesus, Son of God and have kept our fathers commandment to love neighbors as self. You have made a way to show love and kindness to the most needy of us. May you be forever grow in Gods love with serving and defending the poor.
