5 /5 Matt: We were here for a Boy Scouts Eagle Court of Honor ceremony for our nephew and his best friend. While we did not attend a service here, the venue was very nice, clean, and those church members who were part of the crowd in the ceremony all very friendly. My wife and I are Methodist, but this seems to be a very nice church. In fact, we may have come here way back in the mid-80s while attending A&M as part of a United Campus Ministries event. Keep up the Lords work!

5 /5 Andy York: This is a church with friendly people who are more concerned with local missions than maintaining an Instagram worthy facade. The hymns in worship are traditional, which in this fast paced world is refreshing to my soul. It’s not overly serious though; the pastor wears Converse sneakers. Ask him why - it’s a good story. Beginning in summer after 6th grade, there is a rigorous confirmation program that comprehensively prepares young people to take leadership of their own faith journey.

5 /5 debra young: Peace Lutheran Church is a family church. All age groups are represented. We have been members since 1984 and raised our children in this Church. Now that we are seniors, we are still making new friends (with new members) with new interests. I look forward to see what is to come. Our Church is a community of all age groups, with many interests to pick from like bible study, various Sunday school classes, and many groups including many interests. Our Church has a relatively new pastor that has brought new life to Peace Lutheran Church.

Courtney Cannon: FINALLY found a church that made us feel welcome right from the start- we have been to many churches throughout our life but Rivergate is one of a kind- everyone is genuine and cares about other people. The first week we attended, we were invited to lunch by people we had just met. I’ve never had an experience like that before. The leaders and attendees are the first to admit that they aren’t perfect but are super thankful for the redemption through Jesus. I am constantly challenged by the faith that’s exhibited at this church. I also have found major respect for the leaders here and how the church is governed. They seek to listen to the Lord and then act according to His will. They keep short accounts but do everything out of love. The leaders here have taken love to a new level unlike I’ve ever seen before. I also have never found any pastors that I’ve Felt more comfortable with than the ones at RGC. I am so thankful that I’m able to be a part of such a raw community here at Rivergate church!

Jim Ji: Liked the Sunday worship service at 11am in Mandrin with English translation. Sunday schools for children in English are great, as well as the student and family fellowships on Friday evening.

Chloe: The older guy who answers the phone is extremely rude and unhelpful. Called on 2 separate occasions and the same guy answered the phone with an extremely rude and annoyed tone, and refused to try and help answer any questions or connect me with someone else who could. Not a good first impression at all, not a very Christ-like or welcoming environment. Makes me think twice about even attending a service there if this is the type of person they have in charge.

I came to the church as a college student hoping to find a group of people whose faith was solid, and who could throw a lifeline to a shaky college student like myself. Instead of a "formula" of how to "fix me", I experienced authentic Christian Community, and people who recognized that I needed to experience Gods deep love for me, rather than compile a list of all the "right answers". It has been a wonderful place to "grow up" in my faith and my relationship with the Lord, and has challenged me to think in new ways about what it means to be "one with God and with each other". The heartbeat of life at Community Church is our small groups, (or "Com Groups") on Wednesday nights. The leadership is intentional about rotating us through different groups, in order to build community amongst the entire church, not just in small fractured sub-groups. The worship and music comes from the heart, the teaching challenges the mind and soul, and the relationships change the way we see each other as "One Body". I couldnt be more grateful for this church home.
